Thank you, Program CaptainCR. That was a great interview.
As a game design student, my class often talks about movie tie-in games and what usually makes them average or just plain bad is, timing. Usually when a game is doomed to be a movie tie-in the game production time is cut to roughly 6-8 months. When he said that they have been work on this game for nearly two years, I about hit the floor.
I believe that if any game can break the "movie tie-in" curse it will be TRON: Evolution. I have so much faith in this game I am buying two versions, The PS3 and PSP version.

IMO there have always been movie games that don't suck. normally disney games don't sucks but for me they are just hard. and the nest movie game i've played so far is X-Men Origins Wolverine "You know you don't look a thing like your pictures?" |

Agreed-- that game was excellent, but I was FLOORED by the lack of subtitles which for me, really crippled the game. Still, I was able to beat the game in its entirety.
Hoping Tron Evolution doesn't suffer from this >_< Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

I agree with you, there are movie games that don't suck and I agree again with you X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a really good game.
But what I was getting at was timing can be a gaint factor in these "movie" games. Most companies want to rush movie games, so naturally if you have less time to make one, the more of a chance it's going to suck. But with Tron: Evolution, you have a close relationship with the game developers and the film makers, two years in the making, and a studio hellbent on breaking the movie tie-in curse. I think Tron: Evolution has a great chance of being a really good and fun game. |

I, myself am a gamer. And i find myself check for updates on Tron: Evolution more than any other game I want right now. And I think I know why. It's because we pretty know our favorite stuff is going to be great. With TRON, it hasn't been out in a long time so you get that giddy feeling when TRON is mentioned. Well, well, well. Take a look at this.
Up until now, there was no Games for Windows logo on the PC version box. I always knew that if Disney was going to partner with anybody, it would likely be Microsoft.
There's no Live logo, though. Makes me wonder how they're planing to implement Multplayer and how they're going to handle any DLC. They really should use Steamworks and put it on Steam, but I bet they won't.
