"Dad" didn't have to buy you anything to begin with. "Dad" didn't even have to take you to the fair.

"Dad" is my father, my parent, and we love each other because we're family, despite small problems. We're in it for the long haul. Spinmaster, however, is not "dad". There's no familiar obligation at all, and our relationship isn't based on any sort of love. It's strictly business... we give Spinmaster our money, they give us what we want. But in this case, they reneged on their deal. We bought into their product because of a promise for more, greater things. They didn't give it to us. They can say "hey, not our fault- we had to cancel because it wasn't selling!" but it was their bad business decisions that made it fail. In a business world, it's all about money, and I put up my money because of a promise that ended up broken. False advertising. If I had known Series 3 wasn't going to happen, I would have just bought my CLU/Sam, cycles, and been done.

I think the enormous "dad" post is ridiculous, but there was certainly no promise to you or anyone else. False advertising isn't a term you should just throw around.

No but they did tease us with a Castor figure and S3 2-packs I had to resort to importing because they will probably never see retail in the U.S. That's just as bad as dangling the proverbial carrot. They half-assed their efforts and gave up on the line and the fans that supported it. I'm thankful for what we got, yes, but to tease us with what we were to have is just cruel. I hope Disney has more sensibility to give the license to a company who can manage it better than Suck Masters for Tron 3.

Saw four 3 man light jets at my local Toys R Us (east coast here,) so if you're still looking for one they should be out there.

Yeah. I like what I have, but I've got a bad enough taste in my mouth that I'll probably avoid Spinmaster action figure lines in the future.

Totally this. I could forgive a lot of things, but for me the one thing I cannot forgive is teasing a figure on all the series 2 packaging and then never releasing it. If they showed it at Toy Fair and never got to releasing it I'd understand because Toy Fair just shows what's in the works, and what's in the works isn't always guaranteed to see release. But to go as far as having it advertised on the packaging of ALL series 2 products (even the 3 man light jet which came out considerably later) is where the line must be drawn.

I don't care what the reason was, if you aren't 100% certain you can release that product don't advertise it. It's irresponsible. A company that cared about its customers would have realized that they made a mistake and found a way to offer them the figure, be it a mail away, or sold via the internet, etc. Hell they could have bundled it with the Blu-Ray at Wal-Mart instead of a repainted die cast light cycle. But they aren't making any effort because they don't care who they let down with false promises. I defended a lot of what they did, but I won't be giving a company like that my business on any future toy lines.

End of line

No doubt, it's a slap in the face thinking about the resources that went into designing, producing, and ultimately destroying the figure.

I don't give a damn if they are a corporation or not, that's the very definition of 'corporate stupidity.' Just shit on everything, fans included. That's NFL-levels of stupidity.

Spin Master isn't nearly as popular as the NFL, best I can tell with my limited time on toy forums.

I'd be very happy if someone else got the TRON line next time.

edit: That's good news. I wish Kingplayer could find the S2 2" stuff. Apparently the packs in Russia are going for about $15 order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Edit:

Nah, this is a bad post. It's just kind of upsetting that people take the fact that Spin Masters doesn't want to do business at a loss as a personal insult to them.

That's silly.

When I added the total up on Kingplayer, are their commas supposed to mean decimals in America? Kind of a stupid question I know but if not then these figures are going to run me about $3,000. abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

That's the shop where I bought my Sam+Arcade set. There're no more of these sets now, but other S2 packs are still available. Sorry for the quality - only had a cell phone. And I know a couple of stores that'll surely have the pack with arcade, going to search them later.

Doh! I'm surprised that I haven't seen any of those on eBay, unless they are VERY rare.

I can't think of a bigger 'loss' than producing the figures then having to pay to destroy them. What could be a bigger loss than that? If they had legal reasons that they couldn't sell them, why produce any in the first place?

When you have people willing to pay $25+ for one on this board, that tells me the loss is all Spin Masters.

Also, the pissed off TRON fans who will be less inclined to do business with Spin Master in the future.

I'm grateful for what we got, don't get me wrong.

Anyway, I hit a mini-jackpot at my local Walmart. They had 50 percent off of clearance toys and clothes. The Kevin Flynn cycles were marked down to $4, rang up at $2. Found a Quorra who rang up at $3.50 and a 7" Black Guard who rang up at $7.50.

At that price I would have bought two Castors

Just saw this. The Clu-Castor is now out of stock. The rest of S3 is available so I ordered them. $36 just in shipping charges which I don't mind unless these miraculously become available at Target.

Yep, I bought two sets before they went out of stock this weekend. I figured the amount of gas saved driving around the next two months to my various Targets was worth it. Once Wheat said he was surprised ANY stock got out I figured our chances at seeing S3 in the US were basically nil.

Now I just gotta find the S2 stuff :/

edit: BTW I hit two other local Walmarts but neither were doing the half off clearance deal. Seems to have been a one-store deal only, which I kinda figured with the hand-written signs. Might have to go back for some more KF cycles tomorrow.
