Tron: The Betrayal is a hint that Alan is the bad guy in Legacy.
Flynn got all of the credit and profits for the Tron arcade game while Alan got very little even though it was his program.
Alan got all of the blame for Encom's slide after Flynn disappeared.
Alan had discovered where Flynn actually was but kept silent.
There is a move to have Flynn declared legally dead as he has been missing for so long. Sam would be the recipient of all of the Flynn's work as he is the only heir.
Alan realizes that he will again be left out in the cold and tells Sam that he got a message from Flynn at the old arcade setting him up to disappear also.
With both of them out of the way Alan hopes to present as his own everything revolutionary that Flynn has discovered and get the fame and fortune that he feels was taken from him 20 years ago.
SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:Alan reprogrammed Tron (Rinzler) to monitor and report everything that Flynn was doing before and after he disappeared. Clu 2.0 was created to clean up traces of Alan's actions, including derezzing Flynn and Sam.
Tron is conflicted at times at what he assists in Clu doing because he still retains the legacy code and spirit of the pre-corrupt Alan.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

OR, "the betrayal" could be in reference to Clu 2.0 betraying Kevin Flynn...

I'm with this theory. Alan has been portrayed as an obvious protagonist in the ARG. It would seem out of character for him to betray Kevin Flynn.

Tron Legacy could emulate a sub plot from Babylon 5, where it *looks like* Alan Bradly did something criminal/unethical/traitorous but it's a lie perpetrated by the real villains....
Just like the IMO bullcrap "Flynn illegally embellezed money for personal gain and then disappeared with the money" b.s. story/theory pushed by CEO Hardigan and some at Encom...where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I'm going to make spoiler tags mandatory here. Everyone please make sure that title of the topic should have the word "SPOILER" in it and use the spoiler tags. I already put spoiler tags in your post, Imbroglio.
As for this plot business, Clu 2 is obviously the bad guy here. I mean, they're not going to naming the movie after the villain.

"The Betrayal" seems maybe a little to spoilerish in and of itself. I'm surprised (and sad) they use such a title.
It's interesting we have an "Evolution" and a "Betrayal" to fill in the gaps between the first movie and the new one.
I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^ |

spoiler definition
1. A remark which reveals important plot elements from books or movies, thus denying the reader (of the article) the proper suspense when reading the book or watching the movie.
vs.
hypothesis definition
1. A proposition, or set of propositions, set forth as an explanation for the occurrence of some specified group of phenomena, either asserted merely as a provisional conjecture to guide investigation (working hypothesis) or accepted as highly probable in the light of established facts.
I do not have an advanced copy of the book nor do I have access the script. I am merely presenting a HYPOTHESIS based upon what was already presented in this forum, information available on the net, and Hollywood's habit of borrowed and recycled plots.
So what exactly is the definition of "spoiler" in regards to this forum?

i can see your point, man, but take this into consideration: what if you're right? what if you just unwittingly ruined the whole thing for all of us?
Granted, there may be some people here who could care less, but there are those who have invested a lot of time waiting on this sequel (read: almost three decades) and the very notion that they might see something that would give away the plot, be it hypothetical or not, is simply too much for them to bear. It is for those people that we have the spoiler tags.

I saw the movie twice when it was first released in the theaters and I have been waiting for this sequel since the which rumors kept popping up over the last decade or so.
If people frequenting this site are as fragile as you mentioned, then they should be warned to stay away completely from the Legacy discussion forum and any exposure to the ARG because that is where I got most of my information from. Seriously, if people have enough reasoning and deductive skills to figure out the puzzles in the ARG then they are more than capable of forming conjecture as to what is in the plot.
Anyway, from now on I will put spoiler tags on anything that has a remotest possibility of being in the movie.

SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read: It's obviously CLU. Cmon, you have to be like 13 not to figure this out.
CLU was re-rezzed by Flynn to protect the grid, then he goes corrupt, and BETRAYS Flynn, that's why CLU 2.0 is like a mobster in the Legacy...
Really? Alan? Alan Bradley? The guy who's looked out for Sam Flynn his entire life?
Oh, and Tyler Durden doesn't exist ____________________________________
