You read the title correctly. Steven has agreed to a Q&A with Tron-Sector. You, the Users of Tron-Sector, will be able to ask Steven questions that will be asked during the Q&A session with him.

Knowing that you regretted removing the love scene with Tron and Yori from Tron, will there be a love scene in Tron Legacy?

When you consider the electronic world, do you think that it's this other place without worrying too much about how it relates to our world, which certainly allows for more creative latitude, or do you imagine how it might really exist, how matter could actually (within the context of the story of course) be translated to this other realm, how electronic components might manifest themselves in this other place?
The short version of the question is : How hard or soft is the science fiction of TRON?

These questions are just random ones that popped into my head:
*Does Tron take place in 1982 or 1981? There seems to be debate on which date it really is.
*How did John Norton come up with the final Recognizer shape?
*Was the recognizer originally going to be a character?
*Why did the circuitry colors in Tron change during production and post-production and how did you decide on the final colors? (Tron was originally yellow, then red, then finally blue).

Lisberger,
Have you visited a chip fab before? If so, where and when did you go (or how many times did you get to see such a place)? What were your first impressions?

Oh wow, cool!
Well, I suppose I'd like to know how you feel about your brainchild becoming a potential franchise all these years after the original's creation. And if it does become such a franchise, how far would you like to see it go? Are there any other forms you'd like to see it branch into besides film and games?
And I think a big thanks are in order for taking up questions from the forums. This is quite a gesture in my opinion.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

What is your view on the Tron 2.0 video game from 2003, and what led up to the decision to disregard it from Tron Legacy's story canon?
Also, was the final decision on the programs' circuitry colors influenced at all by any mythological beliefs? I have noticed that in Egyptian mythology, blue symbolizes life, and in other mythological beliefs, red symbolizes sin and death, both of which I think relate to characters with respective circuitry.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Hello Mr. Lisberger.
Will Tron Legacy (also Tron Evolution) grab attention of those drawn to advanced technology and convince that audience as to how the abstract machines and alternate reality coexist for a programmer in general, and the metrics and modules in which "programs" were concieved?
Personally, my expectations are sky high to see the story written in detail "factually" about funtional and future-tech inside Flynn's/Encom's computer technologies.
What will be different about this story with regards to the theories of the computer world, and the one inside us that will make TL appealing?
(added 4/1/10)
Can and will the Tron Evolution meet the expectations of a Tron 2.0 fan? Have you or would you ever play the Tron 2.0 PC game?
A few people here made a mod for this game. If someone were to be in the same room with you, would you look at the screen and check out what's been done, or just glance?
It's no secret that we need the source code released for this game. Would you consider it a benefit to Tron to see how popular this game is in at full capability?
If there's anyone you know who could clear that with Disney, would it be possible for us to get the Tron 2.0 source?
Thank you.

In the beginning of Tron, why did Sark appear in the lightcycle game? Is there a copy of Sark in all of the lightcycle arcade games? Or did Sark travel to the arcade game via modem?
Also, when the MCP is defeated by Tron at the end of the movie, why does the MCP reveal himself as a tower guardian? Or is that him as a "chess program"? Also, if the MCP was written by Dillinger, why doesn't the MCP look like him when he derezzes? Why does the MCP's alternate form look so old?order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

- How hard was it to sit on the sidelines, watching your film and vision of a Tron universe not get a sequel, remake or attention for 20-30 years? As an artist, I would think that'd be tough; to not be able to do with your creation what you want to... fearing it might never see the light of day again due to copyrights or other issues. Then again, maybe you were so busy doing other things, you barely noticed or it didn't bother you?
(Or if the above question is too much to ask: "Was it tough to watch so much time go by with no new Tron news coming from Disney?")
- How often do you watch Tron (on DVD, or in theaters)?
- What do you feel or think about when you watch your original Tron in theaters, or in the privacy of your own home?
- Do you still plan to make Soul Code and are you still working on it? If so, can you share any more tidbits of what we might expect visually and story-wise?
- How was it decided to use the name "Encom 511 computer" in the original Tron trailer? I could be wrong, but I don't recall seeing the computer named this anywhere in the film.
- Do you ever talk with Wendy Carlos?
- How do you feel about Daft Punk making the soundtrack for Tron Legacy?
- There were at least 2 or 3 separate rumours of a new Tron film being made over the past 10 or so years (e.g., sequel; re-make). How close to being green-lit were they? What were those rumours were based on? Each rumour sadly fizzled away for some reason and left us fans cold and empty; fearing Tron would never see the light of day again.
- Have you always hoped a Tron sequel would be made?
- I've heard you've had your own ideas for a new Tron script, well before Tron Legacy was announced. Does Tron Legacy borrow from those ideas?
- How would you feel about a Tron 're-make' or 're-telling' of the original story?

Mr Lisberger,
One of the things about the original film that drew me in and has left me addicted to it is the surreality of the digital realm. It seems so...pure and clean, an antithesis to the natural world we live in. I understand that the computer technology of the early 1980's dictated to some degree the look and feel of the world inside the computer, but how close did you get to portraying what was actually in your head? Does the more realistic "evolved" digital realm of Tron:Legacy hit closer to the mark, has your personal concept of the digital realm changed over the years, or was the digital world evolved to meet the expectations of a younger, more jaded generation of moviegoers?abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Dear Mr. Lisberger,
I was reserving this question for the day I met you in person, but that may never happen so now's my best chance...
Speaking of TRON's storyline, its main themes and of Rousseau's philosophy, if TRON Legacy's dealing with a third phase's dark in the light and light in the dark, How would you personally approach the fourth phase in a film?
Thank you for such a labour of love, hard work and determination that has had a big impact on me.
Sincerely,
Victor Camacho
P.S.: Auric, my question refers to concepts and terminology used by Mr. Lisberger himself in this most interesting interview and it intends to know what he would do if he had creative control of TRON Legacy's sequel... Thanx a lot for making this Q&A possible for us all pal...

I have another question just in case someone else forgets to ask it.
What happened to Lora after the old digitizing laser from her and Walter's research project was dismantled? Did she continue to work for Encom or did she eventually migrate to another company or job position?

C'mon Mr. Sinistar... Ain't the timeline over at encominternational.com/past.htm sufficient proof to you yet? There's no debate now man...
1982 - July 9 - Former Encom employee and programming whiz kid Kevin Flynn is rehired. His new title is Senior vice President of Creative Development.
There's no way this could've happened before the Sept. 22 date we see in the movie so let's not waste a valuable question there ok?

On the desk that Flynn son goes to when looking around at his fathers old Arcade place that was closed down. And his son sits down at the computer monitor that is touch sensitive for the keyboard and for the monitor. Knowing that it was hard to reproduced it like it was on your original tron Film. That was used on Dillingers desk it that was used to talk/chat with the MCP. Was that a operating system that was readily available with some Like using windows, Mac, or linux operating system and just mask it over to look like it was coming from the Encom mainframe 511 for the scene itself. It had always intrigued me from the original tron movie as well as what was seen from the trailer/movie. What was used in it to recreate it. Definitely a plus to know.
Would be nice to try and created something like the desk itself for for home or office use. And knowing where to put the computer/terminal within it as well.

Hello Mr. Lisberger:
First, I want to thank you and all those amazing people who blew my mind some 27 years ago (and STILL blow my mind to this very day) with your ground-breaking film, TRON.
Secondly, my question: I recall you stating on the 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD that you were writing a Tron 2 script long before Tron Legacy was conceived. In your original script ideas, did Ed Dillinger plan to get back at Kevin Flynn, and if so, how???Also, would there have been a Sark 2.0, or an MCP 2.0??? Just curious. Am looking forward to Tron Legacy. Thank you for taking time out of your crazy schedule to talk with us Tron-Sector members. Fighting for TRON, The USERS, Both Flynns, Independents, and the mighty ISOs since '82. |

Tron took computers into the realm of visual storytelling and cinematic effects during a time when many people couldn't grasp the idea of a computer being used for such. Now that computers have become a major creative tool in today's society, to you, has the nature or art of storytelling changed in any ways that many today may not even realize?
During the animation days of Lisberger Studios, were there any particular art styles, animation works, or artists in particular that greatly motivated or inspired the studio and you?
