Who played the "Defeated" MCP in Tron?
It says on Wikipedia that Barnard Hughes played him, but I really, really doubt that.
Does anyone know?

Well, I have always wondered what role Jerry Maren played in Tron, but I don't know if it's the defeated MCP. It could be him with a lot of makeup on because he only looked that old recently, and would not have looked that old in 1982.

That makes a lot of sense. When I look at the film, his fingers do look a bit "stubby". I found an AP article saying that Maren "even had a small role in the revolutionary Tron", so chances are, I think it may be him.

It would make sense if the MCP was played by David Warner. Sure, it might not look much like him, but take a look at this picture (especially compare the noses!):
It's a possibility that they heavily made up his face to look old.

I don't think the person who played the Chess Program MCP is anyone we know. I don't believe it's Barnard Hughes, either.
It's probably someone who went uncredited. Most likely, one of the "old program" actors doubled as the MCP.
Mr. Lisberger is probably the only person who could answer this question.

You know what, I think he plays the "Vacuum Tube" data pusher. I remember seeing a production photo of the Vacuum Tube guy and he looks like Maren.
