Interplay is back from the dead (they went out of business but somehow came back), but they have nothing to do with Fallout 3. Like Boingo said, Bethesda did Fallout 3.
I have this on order and it will be shipped to me in a few days. But heaven knows when I'll get to play it. Too many good games coming out at once, and not nearly enough time for any of them.
One thing I'm pleased about with the PC version of Fallout 3 is that Bethesda used mild copy protection on it. Just a disc check. No DRM activation crap. For that reason alone, they're getting my support.
Of course, it helps if the game is good.

What I really like about what I've seen so far is the art style and special effects used in the game. Usually, if done right, that can make up for repetitive or typical gameplay. It's not those that make the game fun, but rather, they enhance the gameplay, and provide for more gameplay opportunities.
Looks really cool, and from what I've heard, it's really fun. Is it, like, uber-gory like in the E3 demo this year? I know they were using some perk that made the game ridiculously violent or something, what's the game look like without that? Maybe around Source engine violence? abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

It's an RPG, not a first person shooter. And like MutoidMan has said repeatedly, you have to plan strategies, and be aware of your surroundings, building your character's strengths for your own style of play.
The lack of resources (ammo, stimpacks, etc) make this much more than a standard shooter where all you do is unload ammo into a target until it's dead.
But yes, it's extremely violent.

Oh, ya an RPG would be pretty cool, still looks like a shooter - of which I play mostly anyway, I'm just not attracted to ultraviolence when I'm sure it could be done in a way that could be unique (melting enemies, dissipate into bright particles?). I'd bet for most people who really get obsessed with shooting guys to see their heads come off are doing it for at least somewhat negative reasons...course that's just my old fart opinion. |

I completely understand. I think the ultra-violence in this game is supposed to lend an atmospheric quality to the brutality of the post-apocalyptic wasteland. It's not a very nice, or appealing world and there are 1001 nasty ways to die.
Of course, on the other hand, some of the more spectacular slow motion gory scenes are actually kind of funny if you can remember this is all just make-believe.

I thought the game was only Ultra-Violent if you have the "Bloody Mess" perk switched on. Or did something actually change during development? lol

I have not had that perk and I have seen limbs and heads blown off. I have the PS3 version though, so I don't know if there is a difference. Also... possibly it gets worse with that perk on?

I had this dial-modem multiplayer 1st person magic battle game called Hexen that was really cool, and when you suicided at the spawn point with instant respawn, you could just keep suiciding super fast. What was funny was that you'd turn into this blob of gooey blood, and the numerous respawns looked like a gory fountain of blood, sounds sick but was so funny to see your friend do itabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Fallout games have always been over-the-top violent and gory, and Fallout 3 is simply carrying on the tradition.
The 'Bloody Mess' perk makes a super-gory death more likely to occur, but there is no game setting as there was in the previous Fallout games; that is, there is no way to completely eliminate the possibility of seeing your foes explode into a... well, a bloody mess.

L4D looks pretty sweet, too. A little too intense for me.
For some reason, all of the characters look like someone else to me:
The army guy looks like the colonel from Metal Gear Solid.
The chick looks like Chell from Portal.
The guy in the white shirt looks like Obama with no hair.
The other guy looks like the TF2 Heavy.
Just me?

Hey Mutoid... took your advice, went back to the Super Duper Mart and kicked some serious a**. So I am doing better now and learning how to deal with ammo conservation. Also, I did notice that one of the vendors in Megaton actually did restock on ammo (after SEVERAL days) so it is possible to revisit vendors after some time has passed and get more ammo.
I am now on the Galaxy News Radio quest. Coming up out of the train tunnels into what remains of the mall area in DC is pretty breathtaking.
Hey... btw. Is your icon a super mutant?

Ok, did any Fallout 3 players choose to blow up Megaton?
being the goody two shoes that i am, i couldn't bring myself to do it. plus i saw a picture of Moira Brown Post explosion, and didn't want to inflict that on her.
i'm just curious about wether or not this choice has any other repurcussions...

Spoiler Box about the Megaton bomb quest:
Highlight Text for spoilers!!If you chose to defuse the bomb, you get a shack in Megaton and good karma. If you chose to blow up Megaton you gain access to Tenpenny Towers, get a suite in Tenpenny towers and bad karma. I chose to defuse the bomb since I am going the good route the first time through, and having a place to store stuff and sleep for free is invaluable. |
