I mean I could see it looked like a young Flynn but is it really Clu in the original sense?

An article on AICN stated that it was CLU. It also makes a lot of sense. How can two Flynns exist at once, with one looking younger than the other? The easiest explanation is that the program version is CLU, since programs look like their creators.

But this isn't the same CLU as the one from the original film. The MCP derezzed the first CLU. Flynn must have written a new version. So I guess CLU 2.0 would be an appropriate name, yep.

Those are certainly possibilities, if we're intentionally being misled! They could be playing games with us. That's usually what teasers do, mislead the audience and keep them guessing.

But for now, I'll stick with the yellow/green program is CLU theory.

I thought he looked more yellow than green, but there was definitely a green tinge in there. Suggesting he's gone corrupt. (If we're accepting what the color schemes meant in Tron 2.0.) And I mean corrupt more in the evil sense, than the virus infected sense.

And how do we know that Flynn didn't just write a new program with a new name?

Wouldn't all programs that any user writes look just like their human counterparts?

Couldn't there theoreticaly be several younger Flynn's in the new movie, each a different program that Flynn may have wrote in his spare time?

I don't see how we can just guess that the younger Flynn is Clu, definately we can say that the younger Flynn is one of Flynn's programs, but how do we know it's Clu?

But whats wrong with it being CLU? Just because Clu was absorbed by the MCP is no excuse why it cannot be Clu. A program is just a series of codes compiled together. Flynn could have easily rewrote Clu and easily backed him up or made an upgraded version of him or many variations of Clu.

Well, that person claims to have been at comic-con firsthand to see the trailer live, so I'd say they're a reliable source. Green with slight yellowish tint as the Corrupt Programs in Tron 2.0.

They showed his (the actor's) face, and he didn't sound, act or even look remotely like Clu or Flynn.

I don't think Clu would act so outright homicidal as showed in the footage.
He acted more like a younger cockier Sark; brutal and needlessly sadistic.
Neither are traits I associate with Clu a "Clu 2.0", Flynn or any Program Flynn would of written.
