you're right, their appearence shouldn't take much time. and it was already said that TL would be stand-alone sequel.
Seems like just few key characters will appear in new movie.

Is it? It used to be Sean, but now the press says it's Sam. The press release announcing the panel said it's Sam, and I'm pretty sure I've even heard Kosinski himself say Sam instead of Sean.

Christmas 2010.. That's a long time... Which means that they have enough time to get things right. I have a hard time believing they nailed the shoot/story in one go.

I'm hoping to see more Encom, more Tron world (instead of Tron City), and bunch of other stuff, like a whirlpool ocean. Or a dynamic MPC which occurs at 'point of trinity' at prophisized time/random location. Hover circuits high in sky. Carriers (and jets), Underground stuff, large complexes (more horizontal based iso typical towers). But definitely interiors/huge rooms/corridors, bridges, balconies, canyons..

Not sure what happens if Sam (i preferred Sean) happens when he enters the world via Flynn's, whether he steps straight into Tron city, or that he has to locate it himself (as well as his dad).
