I wonder if he's meant as a replacement for David Warner, as Dillinger/Sark. I know Dillinger would be quite old today, but they could make this actor look older with makeup and hair coloring.

The thing is, if you have too many well known actors the movie becomes way too familiar and loses it's originality. I've been known to get quite bored easily when watching movies because of the fact there's so many of the same actors playing in every single movie that comes out. Having the same actors in every movie that exist tends to feel like you're watching the same movie over and over again. Keep the original cast of the main characters, use lots of unknowns, and only sparsely use overcasted actors.
