That information did not require a paid subscription. It was public. In fact, the IMDB page for is now public and no longer requires platinum access.

That's not what the subscription is specifically for, but yeah, I would have liked to get better information. The subscription I had was more like a wikipedia subscription.. except you dont have to pay for wikipedia.

I just mean that the usage of ect, is a label that is a term used for other things, used by monarchs, which is common to mistake, lol. but it is a reference to a royal's belongings throuought his dynasty. But idc.

Yeah, right. Like that's ever going to happen. Disney probably doesn't like me very much, anyway. They don't seem to respond well to criticism, constructive or not.

Maybe if we're lucky, Disney will ask Tron-Sector to officially take part in promoting the film and we'll get a small mention somewhere in the ending credits.

Like I said before, IMDB is wrong on that. It's not filming yet. What it should say is "pre-production". They're gearing up, preparing to film. The script may either be done, or nearly done, by now. But no filming is taking place.

And here I thought that the whole point of using TR2N was to avoid confusion with the TRON 2.0 game. That was the logical reason for not going with the title TRON 2.0, even though it sounded much better.

Frankly, I'd be more than happy if the title changed to TRON 2.0. To me, there won't be any confusion. I'm aware that the game and the film will probably have two separate stories, and won't be too closely related. But to your average person, they will probably become very confused as to why there's already a game with that name, and why it's got little to do with the movie.

Let's wait and see where this goes. The fact that the sequel's title has been in constant flux, is somewhat amusing. Come on, Disney! Make up your mind, already.

TronFAQ, this is the first time we've heard anything official about the film being in 3d I think, not too sure. I don't think we really need to worry about Syd Mead too much, as Disney has proven to us that they can make a pretty good psudo-Mead lightcycle (3 to be exact) themselves in Tron 2.0 Killer App for the GameBoy Advance. However, I agree that Syd Mead being involved would be a great amount of reassurance and would really take a lot of uneasiness away.

I thought it was pretty sad that, even though AICN referred to it as Tron 2.0, people were STILL complaining about the TR2N title. I personally like the TR2N title better not because it's an attempt at leetspeak, but rather that it uses the unique features of the TRON font to make a title that works, because the 2 in TRON font looks like an 'O' on the top and a 2 on the bottom, therefore, it works. Yet everyone thinks it's an attempt at leetspeak.

Some article I read said that Disney actually did consider the TRON 2.0 title, but:

they wasted that title on the 2003 game Tron 2.0
