out on July 8th in UK, dunno about other countries |
I managed to pick up both covers this morning, so it's already out.
It's a good article with some spoilers, but all of the photos are publicity ones we've seen already. "Like the man said, there's no problems, only solutions"-Kevin Flynn, prior to his entry into the electronic world- 1982 |

But in all seriousness, I understand and appreciate everyone's excitement with the upcoming sequel but has anyone NOT noticed a very significant actor by the name of John Hurt in the cast list? If you look it up, he's in there. But the biggest mystery is: WHO is he playing?
I do have a couple of theories and I suspect he's playing a role of one of the characters from the first film. Somebody so dastardly who'd love to see Flynn get one-upped.
John Hurt's presence in the film IS a big deal considering the fact Disney is covering up that part of the role. Makes you think twice, does'nt it?
And I don't think they would be this stupid to kill, er I mean de-rezz Clu 2.0 since he would be a great main character in the Tron tv series either as a reformed hero or independent program.
Lastly, if they ever do TRON 3, I think it's fair if they use all of us Tron Sector Users to pose as background characters/cast as Subscribed Avatars, FTW.
End of line. |
Hey Pilgrim1099:
I feel ya - let me ask you this: would said certain character from the first film be someone who used and owned that tabletop computer in the first film (hint, hint)??? Since David Warner wants NOT A THING to do with Tron ever again, John Hurt could be playing said person - or, maybe imdb is incorrect. We'll have to wait and see - as much as I would like to see said character return, I don't know if we'll see him - unless he's somewhat behind Clu 2.0's manic crusade. Hmmmm. . . . agreed. ll don't think it looks like him, they need to go to an eye doctor. besides no video game has ever made a 100% spot on model of an acotr. so of course it isn't going to lok exactly like him. whoopdie friggin do if it doesn't as long as u can tell it's suppose to look like him. geez. i swear some ppl on these forums act like they are purposely looking for stuff to complain about involving the new TRON film.... |

As for that tabletop computer, oh I would think so or a new character that could be behind Clu 2.0's manic behavior. I really, really suspect that some characters in this film are going to be manipulating one another.
Especially THAT girl. AND that nightclub owner.
Think about this. Kozinkski said in an interview that this certain nightclub owner has the tallest tower in the film. If so, what kind of person would live in such a complex like that? I also wonder if he and Clu have a professional understanding and look at the other way when doing business.
But still, can you imagine the reaction of this guy back in the 80s IF he had noticed his tabletop computer when missing and finds out Flynn lifted it out of the building? Man, his reaction would be priceless. LOL.
I can really see him walking into the office one day and find it's missing.
"Huh? Where's my desk? Why would they. . .", he suddenly realizes and starts seething, "why that upstart punk. FLLYNNNNN!!!!!". |

The touch screen desk seen in the trailer is a smaller version of the one in the origial TRON movie, so I'm pretty sure it's not the same desk.

It does appear to be smaller and the fonts/GUI a bit more updated. Although, you have to admit it would be hilarious if he walks into Flynn's secret lab behind the arcade having a conversation and then notices his infamous desk on the wall.
Staring for a long moment, points at it and goes, "Flynn. Is THIS my desk that was taken from my office?"
"Huh? Wha? I don't know what you're talking about! That thing's brand new. But if you want to play with it, the password's Reindeer Flotilla"
"Reindeer?!?"
The dastardly gentleman rubs his temples with a heavy sigh.
"Flynn. I want this back in my office"
"Not yet. Say, have you seen the latest laser project? It's right behind you"
He turns around as Flynn presses the button.
He gets de-rezzed.
Flynn is jubilant and then realizes his mistake.
"Oh wait. He's gonna go in there and ruin it all. I better go in and get him back out here".

Got some bad news via Pitchfork.com.
According to reps for both [Daft Punk] and the soundtrack's record label, Disney, no release date has been set for the Tron Legacy soundtrack yet. |

What did they do to David Warner to make him hate the movie so much? I was still in high school so it couldn't have been anything I could have done.

But, I thought David Warner had wanted to reinact his character in the games Tron was featured in, but couldn't because of other commitments. Unless this is absolutely recent before the movie.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion |
