Yeah that was a little "PG-13" before their was that rating. I like that scene.
It shows that the "Programs" even though are digital beings with set instructions and functions that they still feel strong affection, and possibly even love and are not just digital automatons that don't feel any emotions at all.
Heck even Sark expressed fear and anger... |
As far as I can remember, they couldn't completely recover that cut scene because the audio was missing-- I had some people request me to attempt to lipread the scene but lipreading isn't exact art and I was overwhelmed with college at that time. >.:/

We already know that Flynn is technically immortal in the computer world-- after all, he's a User.

Digitized Users, like the Programs are made up energy, and code, as long as the server/computer has power I think a User and even Programs can exsist for a very very long time before theres glitches or signs of code entropy.
Yes Flynn is in-a-sense "immortal". Like in the original film, not much could actually permanently de-rez him.
Castor is NOT like The Merovigian. Castor is a showman and possible crook, flashy and wild.

I think the code of Programs and even digitized Users "age", or rather experiecnce very gradual code entropy.
Flynn's just has a much much longer life span, sort of the Gandalf of the Tron universe in my view.
The "Sark" type in this movie I think is "Clu 2.0".
Castor seems more like a flashy "David Bowie" like character but involved in very questionable not-so-nice activities...

The audio is only missing from the second deleted scene (the "morning after" scene), but as far as I can tell the dialogue is the same as in the book:

I noticed that in the IMAX theater and the online trailer. I think it's the bit-crush effect on the drums (which can suck if you don't sum & filter it right). Yep. There is a glitching in the clouds that reveal a glowing grid pattern, and then the lightning bolt shots down. I noticed that, I thought it was awesome.

One I first saw it at IMAX I thought all the Programs had the same circuitry but after seeing it again, I see that they have different circuitry. That's pretty kick ass.
