Did any one at school have asemblies, were everyone would go to either the Gym, or the Lunch room and watch a special event , well when I was in Middle school we had an assembly, this was in 1985 I think at my Lake Orion Middle School ( Michigan ), I thought it was an ordinalry Asembly, and when I herd that we were going to watch Tron I could'nt have been more excited!, I loved it it was in the lunch room, and the lunch room was huge, and it was the actual Film, on a huge screen!, I have fond memories of that day!, and it was the BEST asemblys I had ever went to in school!

Our assemblies were almost always centered around sports rallies. Being a nerd, I could have cared less.
I wish I had attended your school!

When we were learning about perspective, our senior high art teacher played the entire movie for us. It took up 2 days and we were even allowed to bring in popcorn ________________________

Back in grammar (a.k.a. elementary) school they used to occasionally hold assemblies to show Disney movies. In the early 1980's they showed TRON. That was the first time I saw TRON, and even though the projector and speaker system were old, and most of the kids in the auditorium couldn't care less - you must have an imagination for TRON to capture - I loved it.

I think I stated this somewhere else, but TRON is a normal movie that my Animation teacher shows for Animation-history.
I'm kind of surprised that he isn't an actual 'fan'.
He says he got annoyed of it after showing it to classes for four or five years [seven classes a day].
