Hey they brought back Matt Frewer!
While it was pretty cool to see new Max I would've liked it better if they had tried to duplicate the original look rather than come up with the 'old man' look. Still, nice to see.

Yeah, I agree. I understand what they were trying to do, to show that Max was now "old" and "over the hill". But I still would have preferred that he look the same as before.
He IS a digital character, after all. There's no reason why his appearance has to change, and look aged. With the makeup Frewer has to wear, he would have looked pretty much identical to the way he did 20 years ago. Ah well.

They did WHAT to Max Headroom? 
"Max Headroom is back!" made me smile big!
Seeing OLD, has-been, over-the-hill Max Headroom took away my smile faster than a blipvert can make a fat guy explode!
One cool point - Matt Frewer as Max.
Everything else sucked.
The Max suit didn't fit right.
The 3D background was half-assed looking.
Max's old-guy makeover was just plain awful looking.
Max would have never acted so winy like that... well, he wined, but somehow never seemed like a looser before.
I'm going to pretend this doesn't exist and pray to God that they don't do anything with this bastardization of Max ever again. Max is a computer generated personality (the character of course) and should appear pretty much as he did 20 years ago. They could have pulled off the original Max look with makeup even though Matt Frewer, the actor, has aged 20 years. He's still got a thin face...
What am I doing? Oh, now I'm wining! DOH!
Oh well. There goes my hope for a revival of Max - the original Max that we all knew and loved... well, many of us did. If old-guy Max takes off - I'm going to puke, stick it in an envelope, and send it to the people responsible for making it. By the time they receive it, it will smell even worse!
Leave Max alone. Just leave it alone.
WTF.
Sorry - Max was a favorite of mine back in the day. I just hate to see them f-ck with something I was so in to back in the day... ok, STILL today. Not funny, guys (people responsible for it). Not laughing. Missed the mark. Anti-funny....

Well I think there sort of making fun of the majority of 80s TV starts who were huge celebs and who are now all washed up has-beens dreaming of the glory days  . And in traditional Max Headroom style they took it to the extreame.

I get what they're doing. This has been done with several other celebrities from various shows or walks of fame. I just didn't care to see Max as a has-been, over-the-hill, digitally aged, winy fart like that. I mean they really looser-ized him and I didn't care for that at all being a huge Max fan. Whatever. It is what it is. I'm sure it did the trick and got a chuckle from folks (Max fans and non) as well as advertised channel 4 going digital and all. I didn't like it personally, but understand what they were doing.
