To be fair, the production end of this issue was delayed as well. Just about every snag that could be hit, was hit.

But soon (I hope!) this long nightmare of waiting will be over.

Tragically, all we can do is wait. It's been in the hands of Disney for approval (a process that should never take more than a couple of days) for well over a month.

On the upside, all the line art for issue 6 has been completed. Mike Shoyket rules.

Lurking Horror do you think two wet noodles might help them out in getting the 5th comic book out. At least smack them silly until they give into getting the next issue out??? You never know that might work.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I seriously want you to consider writing an in-depth article about your experiences working with the Disney people on this. I'm not talking a bashing article or from any particular angle or anything - just share as much about the process as you're comfortable with, period. I think it would make for an interesting read.

I'm not sure how much you can share because of professional courtesy and/or legal issues, but give it some consideration. Perhaps write about your whole experience of working on the TRON comic - from how you felt about it, to the feedback you received from fans, to your creative process, the whole Disney approval process, etc.

I'd be happy to give your article on this subject a proper mention on TRON-Sector's main page, along with a snippet of it and link to wherever you choose to publish it.

I'm certainly happy to share my account of the experience. But truth be told, I have a much less to report than people would think. On all my other work with Disney, I was working directly with editors of Disney Adventures. In the case of Tron, I was working with SLG who was working with Disney. I do know a few of the people involved on the Disney side, but only through other projects or occasional group dinners.

In fact, this is the only creative undertaking for me where I was not directly involved in the business end. A point that was incredibly frustrating for me. Not anyone's fault or that I could have have done anything better, simply a matter of comfort. I've worked one way in the industry for 15 years, switching to what is really a more traditional writers role is a bit uncomfortable.

So really, any account I could give of Disney's role on this project would be (at best) second (or more) hand.

I'm basically done with the series now. Unless SLG and Disney decide to continue their arrangement, that is. I have a stand alone story written with the working title of "TRON: The Worm". It's a very different approach to the concept than the current comic, reading more like a brutal/dark humor militaristic FPS on board an infected transport. I may release it in script form on Tron Sector if we're not doing anything else with it.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

For all our sakes, I hope that SLG renews their license with Disney. I'd still like to see more Tron materials, be it comics or even special books.

Also, if the sequel actually materializes, I'd love to see you and Eric create comics based on it. I'm worried that in other hands, whatever gets produced wouldn't be handled with care.

I had the chance to buy the TRON Comics 1-3 or 4 I think.

What did I do?

I got the Dune comics instead.

Because it had drawings of Kyle MacLachlan in it.

Gosh. I'm a bit of a fangirl.

I was even READING THE TRON COMICS IN THE STORE.

Too much things on my -MUST READ NOW!!- list of books

It would be fun. I'm not expecting the property to land at my door again, but I would certainly consider it. And hey, you still have two issues to go. You might decide you despise my interpretation!

It was based off of the movie. It's a series of 3 of them...released by, apparently, Marvel.

Quite neat. The art is really good

I doubt it.

You took the material seriously and wrote for a more mature audience, which I really appreciated. The comic isn't typical Disney kiddie-fare. Not by a longshot.

It's clearly a labour of love to you, Eric, and SLG. You're not doing it for the money. When products are done just to cash-in on a property, that's usually when they suck.

As long as Lynch isn't involved, it may be worth a read. I would love to see a graphic novel based on the Butlerian Jihad books by Brian Herbert.

Sorry for the delay in response.

Maybe there's not as much action (or interaction) going on behind the scenes as I was guessing, but I think sharing your experiences would still make for some interesting reading.

I bet many Sector members would enjoy reading about it, as would general fans of the comic (who may not be members here).

I'd be happy to give your story a mention and link on the main page should you decide to do so.

It will be the same artist as on #3 and #4.

I don't know about the art looking like a "saturday morning cartoon" now. But I did prefer the style of the first artist.

Speaking of #5 again . . . is Disney purposely trying to be difficult or tick off the fans? Or did they request some changes to #5? What is the hold up?
