Ok, I was watching Firefly when it dawned on me...they're calling the pilot "Wash"
After finally doing a little digging, I found it was short for Washburn...and his antics always seem to keep me laughing...
Coincidence?!
I think not!
Are we to assume he is a descendant of our own Todd?

Firefly... One of my all time fav. shows???? Why was it short lived? It was the best Space Cowboy since 'Cowboy Bebop'...
Now the cap'n is in a new show coming up on fox called 'Drive'. Looks good, but I still want Friefly.
BTW: I love the 'Wash' connection... lol.. :P

There are many Washburns about... even other Todd Washurns, although they are not the REAL Todd, nor are they the Reel Todd. 
I've not encountered any other Washburns to date (outside a small band of known relatives) that are actually related to me. Since the Washburns that I descend from came to America from Europe (England I believe) in the late 1800's, as my Grandmother told me many years ago if memory serves, it is hard to say how far my own blood-line is related to other Washburns.
Perhaps one of these days I'll have to seek out fellow Washburns in search of possible relatives... maybe I find an old rich relative who's just dying to leave all their riches to this Washburn!

I'm goin out on a limb here and saying that it's prolly not gonna come back. Don't get me wrong, I loved the show...but after the movie, with two characters gone, I'd say that's the end of it. Sadly.

...and they HAD to kill off the guy in the movie that totaly ruled...
...though I hadn't ever seen him in the show or anything...
