Issue 3 Spoilers!

on Wednesday, January, 17, 2007 5:40 AM
Issue three is now available. Hopefully, one or two of folks buy it and wish to discuss it. I look forward to any and all opinions.

Hey, the game got it's own section. How about one for the comic? Where is the love, I ask.

You know, that's a good point. I'll try suggesting it to Auric.

I hope I can get my hands on a copy today. I forgot to call my comic shop prior to today, and ask if the owner was ordering any. I'm hoping he ordered it anyway. Otherwise, I might have to wait until at least tomorrow.

The people at my comic book shop are idiots. Everytime I ask them to order TRON, they never do it. I guess I have to find my own copy on eBay.

Man, I hope this sells well! It looks awesome!

You can get issue 3 at SLG now. Follow the inelegant link below:

http://www.slgcomic.com/product-exec/product_id/442/nm/Tron_3

Through the link you can also see what the actual cover of issue 3 looks like, rather than the mock up that's been floating around.

Well, I did indeed pick up #3 today. The store owner ordered it anyway.

The cover wasn't quite what I was expecting.

Haven't read it yet, though. About to do that.

I've updated the first post to include the actual cover image. And here's a sample page.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Hey, if you give me the name and number of your store, I'll call them myself and why they don't get it in.

Actually, it came out a bit later than originally announced. But at least the wait wasn't so bad this time.

Just wanted to mention a couple of things, that I forgot in my review of #3. (I always manage to forget something. )

I wasn't really fond of the cover on this issue. Somehow, it didn't feel like it belonged on a TRON comic. I can't put my finger on it, but it felt wrong to me. Just my humble opinion. I'm sure most would disagree.

One nice touch inside was the programs that had a gladitorial appearance. This is something that was evident in the pre-production artwork of the film, which they were thinking of putting in but didn't.

Other than that, the review sums up how I felt about this issue. The story was great, the artwork is good overall but I'm actually having trouble adjusting to it.

I would agree with you Tronfaq. It didn't feel right for the front cover as well. I know that the character is part of the plot within this issue of Tron 2.0. But personally didn't feel right to mee. But with everyone each has their own feeling for it. Some will like it and other will not like it at all. And it is okay that we can agree to disagree on things like this. There is a reason behind this titale page for it that they used it for.

It's true. It's not very Tron. But it is very Tron: Ghost in the Machine.

Part of the idea is that someone sees it and is curious to know why there is a big rabbit face under a Tron logo. Hopefully, it gets someone to look.

Thanks for the review by the way. I meant to say something earlier, but this has been one of those weeks. Your reviews have become one of those things I look toward with the release of each issue. Feedback makes all the difference in the world. Positive, or negative. It's a difficult job, putting so much out there and when you're greeted with silence... not so much fun.
