I've been a KoLer for a long time, since long before that bit was put in, and let me tell you, the first time I saw it I fell OVER laughing. Pick up a _frisbee_ to scoop weird glowing mystery liquid into your mouth? But of COURSE! It's funny because only us fans of that movie would get it...the way that adventure is worded, it seems to make _no flipping sense_ to anybody else. :P
I've been there over two years now (under the name "Zelynda") and have tried out all the classes...the one named here is actually called "Pastamancer" and is one of my favourites. I dunno, it's just a fun game. (Insert shameless plug about my clan and how I'd let any of you join it immediately if you showed up and asked, here.)
On a more on-topic note, the guys who run it are BIG Tron fans. I was listening to the archives of their radio show, and they just went _off_ on that subject a few times. In one episode, Jick (the guy who runs the site) was joking about how they'd serve "that glowing water stuff" as part of the refreshments at his wedding, and the ushers wouldn't be allowed to come unless they were wearing the white spandex costumes! Of course he was kidding, but it was funny. (I forget what kicked that off. Something about "the ultimate Geek Wedding", I think.)
And then another time, he was talking about how he finally managed to get some DVDs of one of his favourite comics, that he'd been looking for for many years, but was kinda disappointed. He said something about how "a lot of the routines were like, the same? Like he hadn't changed his act much in years..."
MR. SKULLHEAD: Were there any good _sub_routines?
JICK: There were some good subroutines, but....they didn't believe in Users, so they were sent to the Game Grid.
As you can imagine I fell on the FLOOR. From zero to a full-out Tron reference in nothing flat! I love these guys.
(Of course, yes, we all see the mistake there--you get sent to the game grid if you DO believe in Users. But remember this was on-the-fly live broadcast, here, not rehearsed.)
