Flynn316 Wrote:Ok, so I posted a topic in 3 forums and today it only appears in one forum. The reason I posted the same link in 3 different forums was so that all the users on this site could see the information in case they only go to one pafrticular forum.
So my question is why has it disappeared in 2 of 3 forums and if it was removed isnt that kind of rude? |
Topics (same topic) should only be posted to a single forum. Posting the same topic to multiple forums is a good way to get them removed by an admin - not only here, but also pretty much any forum I've ever been part of or known.
Regardless, it is best to choose the forum that best suits the topic of a post and post in that forum. The two most popular forums on TRON-Sector are the General Discussion (top most forum in the forums selection page) and the Other Sectors (bottom post forum in the forums selection page). Posting in one of these forums usually grantees people will find it.
As with any topic posting, sometimes people respond and sometimes they do not. I myself have started more than one thread that didn't receive a single reply. It happens. When this occurs, it does not mean people didn't see the thread - it more likely means that people didn't have much to contribute to it or did not find the thread title to be of interest to them.
As for the threads in question, I did not delete them (or even know about them until reading this thread), but I would not be surprised if another admin did. I usually shoot the person involved a PM when I remove something, so there is an understanding as to why.
Removing duplicate posts is not intended as a rude gesture and is nothing to take personally.
I'm sure people will find your thread and get the information inside.
