Shot 01_06 is up! I've been working on this shot forever. I didn't like the first take, so I tried to do it again but the rendering times were horrible. I decided to reshoot the shot completely from scratch and this time the results were a lot better. I like how nice the orange city looks in the backround.

Not for Disney Land or other attractions (which seems to be the reason for most people going to Florida), but for the cultural experience, or something (and maybe a showing of Tron or two ). That shot was really complicated, both visual and sound wise. I tried animating it the way I animate everything else in Blender (which is just basically telling it to move the lightcycle from point "A" to point "B") but that came out really bad and too fast. Then I remember reading this tutorial about cameras following paths, and applied it to this shot and it came out really good, except that the camera was moving way too fast. After about a half-hour of searching in Blender, I found the speed thingy for the camera and slowed it down until I got the speed I wanted which is what you see in the finished shot!

The audio was tough for this shot too. In TRON when Flynn drives throught the maze in the lightcycle sequence, you can hear this "static" as he's zooming in between the walls. I tried to emulate that in the audio for this shot, but it was very loud and distracting, so I removed it completely. And don't get me started on how long it took me to sync up the 90 degree turns with the sound!

Anyway, no I haven't been to the UK; but I always wanted to ever since I first watched "Wallace & Gromit".

I'm still around... Just been kinda ghostin it for a while... Started a new job a few weeks ago, and I'm finally startin to get readjusted to the new schedule... Hope I haven't missed anything TOO terribly important, eh?

Hello everyone!

I'm very sorry about the delay of news and updates for the movie. I've been taking a short break from Blender and other stuff conserning the movie. I will continue work on the movie shortly.

Several minor problems have popped up during this hiatus:

(1) Cyberblade (who has kindly provided us with webspace for storeage of the movie's A/V files) told me that WildIT - his ISP - is going out of business. He told me however that he will continue providing us space with a new ISP, and I have the backup for the website and NoExcuses and I have backups of the movie's files.

(2) Due to the previous problem, there will be no more updates to the website, including new shots for the movie. However, we could avoid this by sending shots *.zip files via Windows Live Messenger (previously MSN Messenger). Hopefully, once the new website is up we will go back to updating the website with new shots.

(3) On March 28, my family and I will be on vacation until we come back home two days later on the 30th. I think I'll be away from any computers on the whole trip, so I can't check email or post on TRON-Sector.

Hopefully, this problems won't be too distracting with the development of the film. Thanks go out to NoExcuses, Chikan and Cyberblade for sticking with the project for so long. Without your help, this movie will have never gone off the ground.

Thanks also go to the voice actors, TheReelTodd, Nikster and Pulsewoman. We really appreciate your help.

Heya man... Yea I got the email, sorry... It'll prolly be a while before I can work on that for ya... Like next week or so... But yea, I can do it.

Work's had me pretty busy lately... And as if working my normal shifts wasn't enough, I'm now in charge of creating the software for us to use on the laptops we're getting for our patrol cars...
