My Excruciating Summer

on Thursday, August, 31, 2006 11:18 PM
Sorry for not posting during the summer. I had a hectic schedule.
And I went to Comic-Con!
And in my spare time I have been programming a couple games. I hope once they are finished, I can distribute them to everyone.
Most of them are mini-games with no story, but some of them are pretty good. Especially Pandora's Box

My 13th birthday was August 23rd. And school starts September 5th. So little time to enjoy gifts. Oh well.

As you can see from my other thread, I have become interested in Mandelbrot's fractals and their infinite details. And I have (unsuccessfully) tried to solve the formula that produces the image! I am not a mathematician. Seriously.

The rest of my summer is a blur. I was going to take a Japanese class, but there wasno response until after the class had already started!

Are there any interesting stories? If so, please post here.

By the way,if you were wondering why I was at Comc-Con, my dad had a stand. Number 501.

It was at the San Diego convention center, but it was INCREDIBLY crowded. The only reason I wasn't trampled was because I was an official Exhibitor. I was like a VIP! I could cut in front of the common folk who were waiting to buy tickets( $65 for a day at the convention). It was pretty fun. I got to play some games that are coming out soon. Like Loco Roco for the PSP!order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Well, there were more than 3500 stands in one room, so there was plenty of stuff to keep anyone occupied all day. I played a great game called Castle Crashers by the same company that made Alien Hominid. And there was a Nintendo stand with a whole section of DS games that are coming out soon. And there was a Sony stand with lots of PSP games.

Here's a picture of Loco Roco.
You have to save a species of nearly extinct blob things.
I downloaded a demo when I got back from the convention.

My dad was selling some sculptures at his stand and there are pictures on his website.

Here is a Critter puppet from the movie.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space
There were tons of fans lined up to get signed Killer Klown posters.

Yeah, it is cool being a VIP. I saw a lot of interesting people and there were stands for everything. Exept Sega. I still don't know why, but there was no Sega stand. There was a Final Fantasy section inside th Squaresoft stand. And there were lots of finl fantasy and kingdom hearts action figures. And I even saw a stand that had Tron comics, but I didn't have any money, so I could'nt buy one.

Forgive my long-windedness, but there was even a STARBUCKS in the convention center giving away free smoothies to everyone. The garbage cans were literally overflowing with tiny free sample cups. And the people were pushing and climbing over each other just so they could get 1 ounce of free starbucks. Once the convention was over, everyone exept for exhibitors left the hall. The carpet was being ripped up by hundreds of workers, and the poor guys had to empty all of the garbage cans.
I helped my dad pack up some boxes and we started the long drive back home.

Oh, and no, there was no motocross, and yes, Galaga is fun if you have lots of quarters.

I wish I had more pictures, because these are just individual photos. I could send a picture of my dad's studio. I do most of my work there. I even made a little fountain a couple days ago. It's a great place. And it will be the filming location of the upcoming Tron 2.5 fan movie.

Oh, yeah it was 1.5.
Yes, the costumes do work. By a series of color range selections, youcan change your color whenevr you want. It can even change your skin tone. You just have to arrange the circuits (or green duct tape) to make it work properly. Its like green screen projections.

That's similar to how I do it. Do you have to do any garbage matting to get your result?

I film on a greenscreen with red gaffa tape for circuitry, and key out the green to give the background, and key out the gaffa tape to give the glowing circuitry.

But, I never heard about this project, and now I'm interested!

I made two effects tests for my soon-to-be-maybe-happening-next-year-probably-possibly-actually-maybe-not-give-it-a-while-we-haven't-even-finished-the-first-film-yet sequel to Random Wars (Random Wars 2.0), which is set inside an evil in-car computer, and has various spoofed TRON references.

But unfortunately, one of the effects test has since been deleted because I didn't get a chance to back up my video files before my hard drive kinda... collapsed in on itself internally (screwed up) and I had to get a new one. And the red gaffa taped shirt has since had its gaffa tape removed. With no sticky residue - such is the miracle of gaffa tape!

The other effects test is hosted here on TRON-Sector in the archives, but that one has no glowing circuitry. But you get to see the evil in-car computer anyhow.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

That is what I do. Of course, I am not exactly sure how it works, so I do get some help. But I do know that when you pump up the saturation, it looks like it is really glowing.
