My 2 cents...
1) Tron archive with lots of rare/unreleased goodies like photos, interviews, clips, etc .... all Tron related. Everything downloadable.
2) Interactive tron type games and activities. What would be the COOLEST is some kind of multiplayer thing (i.e. light cycles, disc arena). Doesn't have to be fancy, just some kind of game grid related fun.
3) A personal "pit cell" kind of environment where the users (me) can personalize some space and whatnot. Like a localized "myspace".
4) A web forum as good as this one.

I think you're right, Tori. This is a trick question
Perfect TRON site? Aside from usability and technical issues here, I would like to see:
* Removed bullet to avoid it being misinterpreted. End of line.
* A central repository for Tron stuff (memorabelia, screenshots from the film, sound bytes from the film, cool behind-the-scenes stories, factoids regarding production that maybe haven't been divulged in the DVD, etc.). As it is now, last time I checked, I don't think Tron-Sector has a very good library of screenshots from the film, or sound bytes either.
* An updated site, maybe using some Flash in places to spice up the Tron flavor a bit.
Some of the above are partially, but not fully met by Tron-Sector. I'm too tired to think of any more right now... zzzzzz

I would like to see easy access to certain things like, Polls (pre-scripts needed), and a non IRC chat room (somthing more web based).
I'd also like to see easy text formats like UI buttons for Bold, Underline..... font sizes, choices of selectable fonts.... etc...
But if none of that happens, I'm still in love with the sector...
(Just to be silly) .... door stops, paper weights, night lights, T-Shirts, coffee mugs, beer cozzies, DaveTron action figures, play sets and toys, swap meet gifts, Tron-Sector video game, Tron-Sector movie, Tron-Sector give-away contests, Tron-Sector FDA approval, Tron-Sector candy bars, Tron-Sector theam park in Southern Illinois........ ok.. I'm done.. lol....

I don't know, I think this site is pretty close to perfect as is. Lots of interesting material in the archives about the movie and the game and a good forum are all I want.
About the only thing I'd ask for is a forum search that returns more results.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

I'm with most everyone else and feel this site is about as good as a Tron site can be. Personally I'd like to see a little more emphasis on vintage articles/interviews about Tron and of course more vintage collectibles (eg. something like a 'featured item of the week' on the main page). Admittedly though the sector already has quite a bit to offer in both these areas.
On that note, let me say thank you publicly for all of the time Auric, Tronprogram, DaveTron, and others have put in to the site uploading images, scanning articles, and putting together all of the stuff found in the gallery and articles section. There's simply a wealth of information at this site that I don't think any one person alone could ever reproduce. Thanks for all your hard work guys .

Lots of downloadable clips, perhaps anecdotes from people who worked on it, a touch of Flash here and there...
I'm sure I can think of more.
And of course, a great community with lots of friendly members (although we already have all that)!

How about music playing in the background? The original TRON soundtrack or music inspired by the movie? Or the game soundtrack...
And an option to turn it off if it gets bothersome
But it has to be said this is a pretty darn cool site already.

How about if your interested in getting a vintage game like the Tron Arcade games. Maybe have a article in general where to look or where to go in order repair, update, or refurbish your particular arcade game. Along with tips and tricks for those who are looking into getting the two original arcade games. With even a help section for any possible fixes in getting them repair. Granted problems with each tron arcade game will be different granted. Along with what was said here.

I love the TRON-Sector. I think it functions very well a TRON fansite. It is not a really designed to be the "TRON" site. I guess the Perfect TRON website would be less about fan input. More like a hype website for major Motion Picture. With great intro induction and user interface that has all the bells and whistles similar to how you have all the motion graphics for the TRON 2.0 Menu.
The site should blow your mind, like when Flynn enters the Digital Rabbit hole.
It would be expensive but if money was no object, I'd hire these guys to create the digital experience on the Web that TRON deserves and could be.

Visible statuses for each member and their respective affiliation. Everyone starts off as a Null Unit, though. (Members have to prove their worthiness of color-affiliation by posting enough times. Don't get me wrong, their view of Tron-Sector will still be the color they choose, it's just that the status in their profile will be Null Unit until they get 26 posts or something.)
For example...
For Red programs:
1-25 posts: Null Unit
26-250 posts: Red Conscript
251-500 posts: Game Grid Patrol
501-1000 posts: I/O Tower Patrol
1001-2000 posts: Firewall Security

I'm short on time and didn't read through all the other posts (just some skimming), so I apologize if this has already been said.
The perfect TRON website for me would pretty much be TRON-Sector BUT without any of the bugs, broken links, bandwidth issues, etc. that it currently suffers from.
Of course, additional features would be cool too. Exactly what, I don't have time for right now, but to nutshell the original question: this very website WITHOUT any of the bugs or problems would be the perfect TRON website to me.
