Relax and step away from the keyboard .... Seriously though, does it really matter if the board has half the normal traffic for a day? Don't get me wrong Qix, I'm not looking to give you a hard time. It's a Friday so perhaps everyone is more concerned with skipping out of work and getting loaded tonight ?!?

Yeah, I think DaveTRON is right . . . the forum has been very cranky the last couple of days. It was down twice, I believe, for short periods.
Then again, Fridays are usually slow. Probably because people are watching TV or went out for the evening.

I guess we all have those kind of days even computers. They are only as good as their creator that made them. Even for mysself. When I was graveyard shift. And getting home to a bed in the morning when everyone else was going to work. UGh.

I just got back from a week-long business trip in Georgia.
People may be vacationing (summer time), too.
It seems there is a lot more activity here in the forums nowadays than a year or two ago when I first started posting more. I remember a day or two (or three) would go by with only a few total posts. Posts would stay in the 'last 10 posts' list for days, it seemed. Now there are so many posts, the 'last 10' list can't keep up (relatively speaking)

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^ |

I didn't notice the lack of people and posts, as I was checking five days worth of posts when I came on on Thursday. Still, the forum does seem to have its slow days every now and then (slow meaning both speed and posts).abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I tend to get REALLY busy with things sometimes. There are times when I don't even have time to do anything more than a quick peak at what's going on here. Other times, I don't even have the time for that. Just not enough hours in the day.
Of course, as others have stated, when TRON-Sector starts acting all moody and not loading pages after repeated attempts, I just give up for a while.
I wish Auric would get this site on it's own server soon! I bet that would clear up all those IRRITATING TRON-Sector black-outs and probably reduce the number of script errors as well.

Sorry to hear you were sick.
I'm glad you're feeling better.

Or do like I do when the computer doesn't want to work right. Just install something really nice like linux and give that eerie laugh like Vincent Prices while doing it. Just installed Fedora 5 on my old Aptiva to try out a lil bit. And see what's down with that. Probably go back to breezy later on when I get tired of it.

From the moment you mentioned Linux several months ago, I knew you would be an instant Linux fan... Which is really cool, but I still am having trouble understanding Linux's directory structure. I guess using C:\, D:\, etc... under windows for so long has clouded my mind... It's like the dark side... and I'm a sith... just call me Darth Qix... The ICP Sith... lol.. |

The structure filing system is not that bad. I mean I come way back of the good old dos days over here. Since Dos 3.3 on the IBM side in the early 90's. The difference between the two is that instead of assigning lettering to each physical partition it treat each partition as root, swap, home and what ever partition names you want for it. They all have their own usage on linux or unix. Just to give you an example and without going into technical details either. And its a simple thing that I have done with my old Aptiva. Both my 20 and 30 gig hard drive. Instead of calling them C and D lettering. I just assign each either a root name to boot of off and the other a home drive for the users accounts. Put a little swap area for both so in case it runs out of physical memory. It goes there to get some more for temporary usage. Its just the way Linux/unix uses it. It's more complicated than what I am saying. But it is just the way it does things. ANd I don't really argue it since it would be too long of a debate for all of us. And besides it does the job Even under the windows OS. I just partition the drives with the letters and leave it as it is. And have a beer while I am at it. So

High school or college? Next year is my 20th HS anniversary. Christ, I feel old now. I haven't gone to any of my reunions. Can't say there was anyone there I would have cared to see. We had a generic one for the marching band (yes, I was a band geek). That was fun, but was 10 years ago. Everyone says they'll keep in touch.... and generally do for about three weeks... then everyone kind of fades from existence again.
However... in my case the food was good.
