maybe you need to install the patch?

I am an idiot. I downloaded this and have been trying to figure out how to run user maps. Can someone point me to some instructions on how to do this?

OK, I did that. Installed it. Supposedly installed the .rez file. Launch the game and I am on the first level of the regular Tron game. I'm sorry, but this is not intuitive. From the game's main menu go through these steps:

1) Select Multiplayer
2) Select Host
3) Set LAN Only to Yes
3) Click on Game
4) Set Game Type to Derez
5) Click on Maps
6) Select Z_CLU_DISPATCH and click Add
7) Click the Launch button

It's a Mutliplayer map, not Single Player. Though it can be played locally by yourself, using these steps.

Don't expect for there to be much to do . . . it's a Multiplayer map, so it's not geared for one person to play. There are no enemies in it (though there are a few Multiplayer maps that do have this added in). It's fun to explore and drink in, though. Zook did a great job.

Oh yeah, you did install the v1.042 patch right? Very important. It adds the Derez game type to the game, which you need to play this map.

Thank you, redrain85, for your help. I finally was able to get into the tank interior, which is what I was after. I did not have the patch, so thanks for directing me to that. Also, I didn’t know it was a multiplayer map only. Thanks for the step-by-step idiot proof instructions. You have GOT to love an online community that can give you THIS kind of help almost immediately.

As for the map, that tank interior is totally awesome. Man… the work that must have gone into making that. I wish I could make that rotating tank interior a screen saver, it is SO cool.

At a LAN party a couple of weeks ago, me and two friends were playing on this map, and we all agreed it was totally awesome.

Except when some idiot gets all the permissions from the archive bins and then goes and gets himself killed so no one can go in the Recognizer until the level is restarted.

And everyone got very annoyed when someone was hiding in the tank, ready to Prankster Bit anyone who came in...

Thanks for the props. Yeah you definately don't want to download all the permissions and then get yourself killed. Sort of funny if it happens though.

I'm working on more maps so stay tuned. I'm feeling really jazzed about the one I just started designing and modeling. It is going to be much more spacially dynamic then the Clu Dispatch.

Yeah, and I most certainly wasn't the guy who was doing that. Nope. Definately not.
