I have the Tron 20th Anniversary DVD and I've been very saddened that I once tried to take the DVD out (or put it in?) and the inner plastic ring (clear) on the actual DVD cracked/shattered a bit. The ring is still intact, but it's cracked and you can see the crack marks. It's a result of the poor packaging design they used to hold the discs. The disc has always been hard to take out/put back into the DVD case, so it was destined to happen, imo.
When it happened, I thought I just had a bumb DVD or case. So I told my brother and he was going to give me his mint Tron DVD in exchange for mine (because he never watches it and knows I'm a Tron fanatic), to which I was very happy because he'd only viewed in once, if that.
I took his DVD home and after taking it out and putting it back in a couple times.... *CRRRAAACK!!* You guessed it. The same issue. If I took it out a few more times, it would've probably gotten as bad as my DVD is, so I just gave it back to him. I realized they're probably all like that and there's no hope to ever own one that you can watch without damaging.
Anyone else experiencing this? Or know how to avoid having this happening??? I want to get a mint DVD again some day and don't want this happening. Is it something that Buena Vista fixed and did a recall on, or something? I've never had this issue with DVDs before.

I've used mine a few times and nothing like that has happened yet. Knock on wood.

Well, if it's remotely hard to take out or put back, be VERY careful. That's my recommendation anyways!order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Nope, haven't had a problem yet. I'm extremely careful when I remove the DVD and put it back, though.
But you make a good point: that some of the DVD cases have clips that hold on to the DVD too tightly. So you have to bend the DVD a LOT in order to get it out. Every time that happens, I worry that I might snap the DVD in half.
There are some cases you can push in the clips, and then the DVD pops up. I infinitely prefer those!

I've never had this problem with any of my DVD's though I do have several DVD cases with broken clips that fail to hold the DVD in place any longer. My TRON DVDs haven't had this problem yet though.

I haven't really had this problem with any DVD cases I've had. How I take DVDs out of their cases is that I press down on the clip and with my weight on my thumb and index finger, I shift down to the sides of the clip and squeeze it. Then I pull the CD/DVD off with no problems at all. However, I am going to say that I don't really use these cases any more and have since switched to a huge CD binder and stuck all my CD/DVD stuffs in there (My binder is the largest model there is. It comes with a nice carrying handle. However, with all my CD/DVDs inside, it gets to be pretty heavy. ) If anyone is worried about their Tron DVD or any DVD for that matter still, I recomend making the switch to a CD/DVD binder. I personally use a Caselogic CD/DVD binder to hold all of my CD/DVDs. Maybe this might work for you guys. ^^

I think there should be a new DVD case, and a demo of 2.0 should be included in the DVD (edit: from now on) or something.
I wonder about the new disc formats...Unless they're like the UMD's (you know, there's a case around them) they'll just be glorified DVD's...
I've just put one little tiny disc wrecking scratch on your HD-DVD. Are you sure it's better than DVD's?abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Oh man! TWO TRON DVD's - dead.
That really sucks, Traahn.
Mine is a little tricky to get out of the DVD case as well, but I work it carefully so that not too much pressure is applied to the disc. If it bends too much, I start playing a little and twisting, and applying more pressure to the center part of the case to ease off the DVD. It can be tricky, but I've settled in to ways of getting it out.
I'd be very upset if my DVD cracked. I'd be out there very soon grabbing another one. I don't watch it all the time (just a few times a year), but I'd hate to think it just wasn't available at any given moment when I might want to watch it!

Cool, if I save the life of just one Tron DVD, then my posting is worth it
I don't think I mentioned, but I probably should have: despite the inner-ring being cracked, the DVD still works (thankfully!!) It just has less than 100% health and it worries me. I wonder when the day will come when I go to take the DVD out and it breaks to a point where it's not playable. That's my main concern. Good suggestions... thank you.
I've always been pretty careful and never flexed the disc too much. (Although, I'm guilty of often being anxious to play it ) And when I cracked my brother's DVD, I was barely flexing at all. It's just like the nub on the DVD case is too big for its own good or something. Oh well, I hope I helped a few Tron DVD playing souls out there.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Maybe there's a way to reinforce the inner ring without interfering with the dvd player... so it won't break?where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I'm surprised no one offered what I thought would be the obvious suggestion. Once you take it out of the case and put it in the DVD player, why would you ever need to take it out of the DVD player?

If this is such a concern, why not put the dvd into a different case? That way you're only taking it out of the original package once.

I might. Or, I might just never take it out of the case I've gotten better at taking the DvD out, though. I pinch the little plastic tabs hard (the ones that hook the DVD in), and this makes it easier to take out/put in.
