I tried going red, but the color next to black blinded me a bit...
....blue's my favourite color anyway.

I can never decide which one to choose....
Green is a sicky color,
Blue is........ kinda neat
Yellow is too bright,
Red gets kinda boring after a while,
Purple has the wrong mascots,
White doesn't even exist.

Purple because they just... uhh... suck... and we are to defeat the green because... uhh... In response to my own avvy, I like the MCP LOL better.
Um... and I'm better at drawing the MCP supporter symbol than the user support symbol.

Back to Blue!!! ANyway, here is my theory on program colors:
Blue: Routine programs, perform the system operations, follow a SPECIFIC function Ex: Tron, Ram
Red: Security programs, assign blue program functions (roughly),
Yellow: Independent, are specifically instructed by something outside of the system.
Green: Corruption (not viral), Computer add ons, Ex. mp3s, any program that functions without any other help and is not essential to the system,
Purple: This is basically something of its own, fCon is the only thing I know of that has purple programs.
All of the other programs that you see are probably data/pixel pushers,
( somthing I thought of): perhaps the density of a program's data determines the contrast of its color.
