For our Technology lessons, we have to design and build a clock which plays a tune every hour. Of course, being the fan that I am, I chose Tron as one of my four initial designs, and it will very probably be the design on the final clockface.
The clockface design has a Recognizer chasing a Light Cycle (the Recognizer is very small so that I could fit the whole thing in), and it will play the Tron theme every hour.
Here's the first draft of the design:
Tron Clock
The text got cut off, but here's the gist of what it says:
"This design is based on the movie 'TRON', and depicts a 'Recognizer' chasing a 'Light Cycle'. TRON still has a large cult following and so this design would still appeal to many people. The tune played would be the TRON theme, by Wendy Carlos".
The Tron lettering isn't the right colour (I didn't have the time to colour it in as it should be), and the N at the end is slightly the wrong shape. I'll try to iron those 'bugs' out by the next draft (assuming our Tech teacher forces us to do another).
I'll keep you updated throughout the creation of the clock.
All comments and criticisms welcome!

It's about time someone got working on a project like this!
Sounds cool, NoExcuses.
I knew the second I saw this thread that you had your hands in a cool project. Let's face it - any time is a good time for TRON!
...
Oh - I'm going to get pun-prodded this time!

Ah! The puns are attacking! *Frazzle*
Thanks for the reply, however crazy...
And yes, today our Tech teacher forced us to do another draft - It's about 1/4 way to completion. I'll post it when it's done. I'm still deciding which part of the Tron music to use...order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

It will be a real wall/desk clock, but only one will be made (as it is only being done in school technology lessons).

Tron-clockness indeed...
I think the design on the finished clock will be CGI in the end, the hand drawn version just does not look good. Plus it gives me an excuse to remake my light cycle model.

Well, I finally got round to finishing the second draft of the TRON clock. It's essentially the same as the first design, but you can see all of the Recognizer, it's on a blue background (which was meant to be the game grid floor, but i'm too lazy to colour all those individual squares...), the Lightcycle has shrunk and is now orange, and the TRON lettering and colouring has changed to more closely resemble the movie lettering. I'm looking forward to making the clock and programming in the tune and such... my Recognizer and Lightcycle models are ready!
The TRON clock second drafty mcthing blah blah.
I've also now decided that I hate colouring pencils.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

And...
Drumroll please!

I said drumroll please!

Oh hell, I'll do it myself.
Buhduhbuhduhbuhduhbuhduhbuhduhbuhduh BEESH!
I've finished the TRON clock. Here it is in all its majesty:
And a video of it in tune-tastic action is here.
The tune plays every hour when the magnet on the minute hand passes by the reed switch above the LED. Then a load of electroniccy stuff happens, and the tune I programmed plays from the chip somewhere and then a little man inside the speaker sings out the tune for me.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

It's like a modern cuckoo clock. That's dope, having the tune play was great idea.

Interesting - the clock has started to randomly beep at me.

If I shine a bright light at the blue plastic on the back, all the white lines on the image glow an eerie blue...
Thanks for the praise everyone!
