Hi!
When i got "Rediscovering Lost Scores Vol. 2" and was
listing to the Tron Soundtrack, i found some confusing stuff.
Track 3 "We've got company" starts with the scene when
CLU got tutured and deleted by the mcp, then the
acual music starts when CLU got chased by the Recos.
The "Love Theme" is a regular track, but wasnt included
in the movie, but "Break In" was in the movie, but is listed as a bonus track.
Maybe its meant as bonus compared to the lp-release?
Btw, i havent measured it, but the "Break In"-tracks seems
much longer than the acual scene in the movie.
On "Rediscovering Lost Scores Vol. 2" Track 14
(Little Interludes) is the scene, when Flyn came back into the real world and got the evidence printed out that
Dillinger had stolen his programs.
If you read Mrs. Carlos comentary for that track, then you know, that even she didnt know where that track belongs to
Too bad, now the only piece of music what is missing on cd
is the scene when Alan visits Lora at the laser-bay,
otherwise we had a complete score.
Just my nitpicking, but i love the Tron soundtrack!
regards,
Dirk

I love the soundtrack too. I'm glad I got the soundtrack on CD before Disney Records stop making them. And that song where Alan meets Lora and Dr. Gibbs is one of my favorite songs from the movie too. I hope it's not lost forever!
I like the deleted music for the lightcycle sequence, but I'm very glad they took it out of the movie. The sequence is much more exciting without the music. It reminds me of Bullitt in a way...
You know, I'm glad you made this topic, Cueball. I found some confusing stuff on the soundtrack CD as well.
(1) The Tron Scherzo track (Track 7) on the CD is noticeablely different from the movie. I don't think that track was even used in the movie!
(2) Track 9, which takes place when Tron arrives at the I/O Tower and Flynn drive the recognizer, it sounds like that there was music that was suppose to play while Flynn's recognizer was crashing through everything.
Interesting...

There's also a short link piece that never made it into either soundtrack release. Notice when Flynn - just after he's been introduced to Yori by Tron - says "Nice looking ship you got here" - there's a segment that connects the piece (I can't remember which track it is) that precedes and follows it. The music piece only lasts a few segments, but it's a nice, warm, fat-bass sounding clip that I'm sad never made it onto either soundtrack.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

However, If it supposedly was lost, what's preventing us from doing a fan recreation/reconstruction of that track? You pretty much need some good ear, musical ability and has some music creation software like Fruity Loops studio 5 or something. It may or many not be as accurate, but at least we have something, right?

That's true...hmm. Funny you should mention FL Studio; I just happen to have a demo FL Studio 4. You know what? When I get a chance I'll see if I can recreate that song!

The lab music piece is essentially IO (on Carlos' Digital Moonbeams) only with more emphais on those gorgeous-sounding violins. It's also the light cycle theme. Anyone got the LA Philharmonic's phone number and a few thousand dollars to spare?

Switch up to FL studio 5. You'd probably be able to find more tutorials on that. (And if you do, can you tell me how I can extend the length of a song?)
Oh! and good luck on the recreation! You should really post it when you're done (or at the very least, post your progress! ^^ )

I take it back.
Re: the lab score: Locate 'Phobos & Deimos' on Carlos' Digital Moonscapes. At about 0:30 seconds in, you'll hear the very beginnings of when Alan goes down to the lab.
Hope that tidies it up.
