Users, Programs, Viruses,
We require your help.
As many of you know, this site was having some problems with people being able to assume the identity of other users of this site, and in some cases, post as those people.
Auric has told us that the problem may be fixed, that's where we need your help.
If you experieince this problem, we need a full description of the problem and what was going on right before it happened. The more detail you can provide about what you were doing and what you were seeing would be a big help.
Don't know if you'll see it anymore, but just in case, we wanted to alert you to report it.

I'll definitely keep my eyes open, and report if it happens again.
But after having experienced it many times, I'd have to say that no particular action seemed to cause it. It appeared to be random. The only thing that was consistent, is that a lot of people were also online at the same time, and the site was slow to respond as I navigated through the various pages.
When a page would take a long time to load (30 seconds or more), I'd inevitably find that I'd either end up at some random page on the Ianstorm domain or I'd swapped identities. So hitting the stop button in my browser and waiting a while before trying again, was a band-aid solution for me. The swapping no longer occured when I did that.
I'm giving this description just in case the problem hasn't been fixed. (Which would mean the same cause would still have the same effect.)
Let's hope the grid bugs have been banished! *Crosses fingers*

I just had it happen to me again. I got logged in as Nikster. I was not logged in, and clicked on a post by Nikster from the main page. It hung for a while, took me back to the main page and told me I was logged in as Nikster.
However, trying to go anywhere after that logged me out and I stayed logged out.

Uh oh. 
Yeah, the identity swapping problem is back . . . kind-of. I've had it happen to me again twice, now. I was briefly TheReelTood, then I was FreedomForever.
But the good news is that as soon as I clicked another link, I went back to my proper identity. So I wasn't able to do anything in someone else's account.
The site had become very slow again, when this happened. And there were several people logged in at the same time.

I've experienced no rotating username problems lately... although I keep getting TRON-Sector blackouts! Long moments where I can't access TRON-Sector - ESPECIALLY when I'm hitting the message button! Ok, that was really weird!
No sooner do I say I have not had this issue recently, do I find myself logged in as FreedomForever - with a bright yellow screen and all!
I was replying to a message and hit the quote button and found I was logged in as FreedomForever. I wonder if it was because I used SHIFT+click, which launches a new browser session to the destination in IE.
I quickly closed the window and hit the quote button again the same way and it worked normally.
Ok, this grid bug is indeed still alive and causing trouble.
Aaauuuriiiiiic! We neeeeeed youuuuuuu!
GRRRRR!  And when I tried to post this message - ANOTHER TRON-Sector blackout!

Looking good on my end, (I seem to be the only one who hasn't exp. this problem). Let me give you the specs of my browser/extras...
Browser: Firefox 1.5.0.1
Extentions: Flashgot 5.9.99
Image Zoom 0.2.9
IE View 1.2.7
NoScript 1.1.3.9
Tabbrowser Pref 1.2.8.8
I also login automaticly every time I visit the sector's home page.
So with what I'm useing, everything seems to be going great on my end. I don't know if it's the browser or what.

It does seem to have remained, but you cannot do anything other than get to ONE screen where you are logged in as someone. I am assuming this is part of the fix, where if you do end up as someone else, you cannot post, or navigate as that person.
