You know, this has never happened to me.
How exactly does this bug occur? Does it occur when you log out and log in? O_o (I'm always logged in all the time because I'm lazy that way. XP)

I hit "i/o forums" and was suddenly logged in as aldul! That was creepy when everything turned green. ;_;

Well, FreedomForever, I keep loggin in as you. My profile won't stop it. Post or go to another page and if keeps switching.
The site keeps loggin me in and out. I can go to a page, I'm logged out. Right now I have logged in about 6 times just to post this. This needs fixing and BAD!
EDIT: Okay it switched me back to FreedomForever when I posted. ARGH!

Here is what just happened:
I was logged in and browsing the site when I noticed Traahn had just started a new thread in the general discussion forum. I was the first to view it, and after viewing it I noticed I was logged in as Traahn. I immediately posted this...
I'm using Mozilla firefox 1.5.0.1 if that helps. Time to sign out  ...

Heh. Looks like we switched users, TimothyC, because I (Traahn) am now YOU! I didn't realize I was you until you just said that. I have a feeling it messed up for me after I had posted in the new "Louie" interview thread. One of the times I went to go edit my post, it thought for a while, then kicked me out to some weird site. So I hit the back arrow and noticed I was logged out. So I logged back in... and I guess at some point, in one of my edits there, I became TimothyC. I wish I was paying more attention... Note: I'm on IE 6 browser.
This isn't happening, it only thinks it's happening...
I guess it's time to log out now.

After logging off as Traahn, sorry Jeff  , I closed my browser and followed the exact sames steps as before. Thankfully I stayed TimothyC this time.
Perhaps it has to do with the fact that Traahn's thread had no replies and was a new thread (with the disc spinning) to me when I assumed his identity?
