King for black Sark, King for white tron right , Yori for queen on white, Knights would be the guard from tron.

Chess makes my head hurt.... 
But a glow-in-the-dark chess set of Tron would be awesome!
And that's my addition to the chess set: it must all glow in the dark-chess board and all!

...hey boingo, but don't you think the lightcycle would make a more efficient rook (the one in the corner that can only travel in straight lines)?
(forgive me if this is not called the rook...I haven't played chess in forever...  )
actually, I think a bit would make a good pawn...+ for light, - for dark...but, it's just a thought...

Actually, I'd suggest lightcycles for Knights and guards for pawns. But I'm flexible. 
Dumont for the white bishop.
How about one of the girl data pushers for the Black Queen? Or maybe just Peter...

Oh! Missed Vortex' post. Boy, those lightcycles can fit just about anywhere!

Actually, yes. You're right.  Maybe programs for the pawns on the white side and guards for the pawns on the black side.
Of course King and Queen on the white side would be Tron and Yori...... not sure where Flynn fits in. Maybe as a Bishop on the white side.
Recognizers for the knights on the red side... and the MCP (complete with spinning head) as King and Sark as queen. I know it's not a female but *shrugs*

There was a C64/AMIGA/Atari ST game called The Sentinel (or The Sentry)
it was very TRON-esqe..
Anyhow... someone made a chess setr out of it...

Wouldn't it be much more accurate it the MCP were the king and Sark got the role of the queen (don't kill me for this....) ? It's a little more acurate towards the chain of command on that side....

Kamui, We could use him as the king for one side. But personally. and this is not to bash your idea either. Wouldn't it be more likely Sark as king since he did more of the work for the MCP? Like going against tron and flynn throughout the movie.

I don't think so. According to the dictionary, a king is "one that is supreme or preeminent in a particular group, category, or sphere." Or, "The perfect, omniscient, omnipotent being; God."
The MCP, in my opinion, is much more powerful than Sark. His sphere of influence and power stretches the entire game grid/mesa. The MCP bosses Sark (and Dillinger) around, thus implying he is at the top of the chain of command; just as any king would be.
