I agree Todd. I *have* watched the show, so that's why I know the dude from Ed is on there 
I get very whistful talking about the 80's, more than poking fun at it, I suppose. Atari 2600 with the Coleco version of Donkey Kong... the Pac Man with the "pellets"... I owned Vans and a knock of Member's Only jacket. I rolled up my pant cuffs and wore boat shoes. I bought a Swatch Watch. Oingo Boingo is still my favorite band. My favorite films came from the 80's. I can't say that of any other decade (except for Lord Of The Rings, of course)
I was scared to hell of being nuked. I remember the air raid drills. I played Dungeon's And Dragons like a mad man.
I guess I don't look at it so much as what was hip and cool as much as what defined me and what I felt was amazing and inspiring back then. I don't feel that so much from popular culture these days... ya know?
As for those poking fun of it all, I say this (cue echo to voice and shine light under chin) YOUR TIME WILL COME! MUAHHAHHA
And now for keeping with the thread...
If you've ever watched "I love the 80's" on VH1 for the rare chance they MAY mention Tron .. you just might be a  fanatic.

If you saw the new Acura car commercial and said "They're putting light trails on these things? Are they trying to derezz trafic?" You might be a Tron fanatic. (I'm not sure if it's a Canada-only commercial, but the way it was done reminded me of lightcycles and the light trails that followed them. *Sweatdrop* )

I would faint if that would happen there too Mutoidman. I had thought about it as well over her. When I watch the show too. WOuld be interesting to see happen though. THat would definately different too.

I think I maybe have seen the reference to that car commercial there. I thought it was good. My parents thought that I was loosing my marbles there when looking at that.
