Darn tooten its hard to find. I had to warm up my gaming machine you know how it is when your running a PIII 500 And it has a SCSI-2 drive and a scsi rom drive in there. When I came on you were already gone. And I couldn't find anyone else there. My two main machines I don't even have the FX 5200 card on those.

I just got off the game grid. Had a good time as usual!

Boy - the game grid has really dried up.

There are only a few servers left... and sadly, there are just about as many people as there are servers that still play.

Where have all the regulars gone?

Even I have trouble finding time for the game grid these days - real-world life keeps me so damn busy. But I try to hit the game grid at least a couple of times a week. I still LOVE light cycles! Nothing like some good light cycle action on the game grid!

But sadly, there are so very few people still playing.

Crash seems to be the only one really holding down the fort these days. He's always a pleasure to meet up with. Thanks, Crash for still believing in the game and holding down the fort! And thanks for keeping your server running when all the others are drying up faster than an earthworm on hot pavement.

Of course, with almost no one playing, it's no wonder they're drying up. Who wants to keep a server running that only gets visited by two or three people a week?

So where have all the TRON gamers gone?

Are they all stuck in that Oblivion game? I guess I can see why - the game looks beautiful and word has it - it rocks. Hell, I'd be playing it too if my old computer could handle it... but it cannot.

Even so, I'd still find time for light cycles. I LOVE the game and it never gets tired to me. It's just that life gets in the way, so not much free time. Perhaps that's how it is with the missing regulars - they only got so much time for gaming, and they're spending it on newer games.

Well, to those I met up with today: Crash, Ricooo, and Nightdemon (a new gamer to the game grid) - I rather enjoyed our time together on the grid today. It was a blast! I hope you stick with the game and allow yourself time to get good at it Nightdemon. We sure need more regulars out there!

To the old regulars - Layer, ShivaGoddess, Vman, SOG, BEBO, Brina, uFo, TwistedEdge, GhostRider, TheGiftedOne, dIrk, gnardogjay, HappyKat, [x]copy, bit, -I- Isaac, pacmantab, Powder, Raven, Boomer, NicolA, Disco.stu, Cyber_Slave... and the rest (and I don't mean the Professor and Mary Ann ) - here's to you all!

I miss you all... and the many I didn't mention.

Please re-install TRON 2.0. Join me on the game grid sometime... let us relive the great times - the good old days, when you actually had to wait for an open slot on one of the servers to get in the game!

Oh, how I miss that. I loved playing with a full server so much... I loved all the great personalities and awesome duels we used to have together.

I miss the way I was picked on for slamming head-first in to those damn walls! BTW - I'm still a wall-head-butter! Some habits die hard.

Well, if ANY of you are reading this post - please stop in to say hi. Let me know you're still alive and kicking. I miss the good old days. I miss you all.

But I'll keep hitting the game grid for as long as I can. Even if it is only a couple times a week... or even once a week. I'll still enjoy what little time I can afford on the game grid. I LOVE this game!

The reason the grid has dried up is a combination of factors, but one in particular is bothering me lately.

There are a few players out there who want to make the game miserable for everyone else. They don't play fair, and they like to talk trash all the time. This makes playing the game an unpleasant experience.

I think this has a great deal to do with the lack of activity, as of late. Who wants to play, when some people always feel the need to come in and ruin everyone else's fun?

It doesn't help that the game has few measures to deal with kicking unwanted players. And without the source code, creating a fix for this is extremely difficult.

I hope that despite this, people will keep playing . . . I know I will. There are still nice people out there, and the game is still fun to play when you're in good company.

I had a pretty good match with Ricooo not long ago, and that was my first match in ages. I keep checking in every now and then for players, but I rarely find any. I think the biggest problem is the timezones - if there are so little Lightcyclers over in the States, then how many am I going to find in the UK?

Still, so long as I can find the time, I'll keep popping in to see if there's anyone playing.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

You know - grid trolls used to bother me a lot. If you go back to maybe the 5th page or so of this thread (give or take a couple), you can see how irritated I was by these jerks trolling around and making trouble. Even I was accused of being a troll once when I played under different name than people were used to - it really pissed me off. I wasn't being troll-like, they just assumed I was the troll because I used a new name, and the troll was using new names all the time, and also impersonating the regulars.

These days, the trash-talking trolls with their bag-o-tricks don't really bother me much. First off, I haven't come across a grid troll in many months. Secondly, I just ignore them. That's it - just ignore them. Sure they are an annoyance, but when EVERYONE ignores them - they quickly get bored and leave. But as soon as one person acknowledges them or shows that the troll has successfully angered someone, then the troll will stick around for a while.

Trolls are cowards and jerks. They do things online under a certain level of anonymity that they would never do in real life because they'd get their ass kicked. Any power of irritation they have over you is power you GAVE them. Don't give them any power, and they are powerless.

The best way to piss off a troll is to totally ignore them. Continue playing the game and even joking with everyone - as if the troll does not even exist on the grid. If the troll feels that they've failed to crash the fun, they become bored and leave.

I know some grid trolls use tricks to reset the server or boot everyone from the game. I've had that happen to me a couple of times. But right after, everyone simply re-assembled and continued to have fun - and the troll went away.

That's about all they can do. Ok, they can play the game in an annoying way too - by running and running and trying not to get caught. If this happens, again - everyone must not make remarks about how annoying the troll is. Just ignore the coward and sooner or later, he will derez himself, or get derezzed by the other player. He will be irritating and annoying for a while, get bored, and then leave everyone to enjoy themselves.

I agree - no one wants a trash-talking troll on the game grid. But without any way to eject them on the server end - everyone has to be united in their effort to continue to have fun AND IGNORE EVERYING THE GRID TROLL DOES. Believe it or not - ignoring the troll (everyone all together) can be quite amusing. Instead of the troll pissing everyone else off, everyone will get to enjoy watching the troll become angry and upset because he is being ignored. What's more fun than pissing off the cowardly troll?

Ok, that's my take on things. It's sad if that is one of the bigger reasons the game grid has dried up. I can't believe everyone let some cowards chase them from their fun.

No troll can take away my fun. No troll can chase me from the game grid. No troll can get to me - they have no power over my enjoyment. None.

You know - I hope ALL the old regulars read what I just wrote and change their perspective a little. Everyone join together in ignoring the grid trolls, and watch them fade away and go in search of some other online game to be an idiot.

Come on back to the game grid, folks!

Let the good times roll!

And if a grid troll should emerge - just keep enjoying yourself. He'll get bored and go away soon enough. And even if he sticks around for a while - OUR fun need not end! Well, it was fun for the few games we squeezed in, Sketch.

When we decided to have some fun on the derez server and left the light cycle game grid... there were no derez servers running!

And the two DA servers were both playing custom maps that I do not have!

Crap.

I waited a while for you to return to the light cycle game grid, but you didn't show back up.

Oh well. At least we got in a few games on the light cycle game grid.

I can't believe there are NO derez servers running! None at all!

And when I left - there were just THREE servers running total! Two light cycle servers and one DA. Sad.

Everyone thank BVG for shutting down their servers a couple of months ago, with no kind of formal announcement whatsoever. Nice people that they are.

Just shut them down quietly, and hope no one makes a fuss . . .

Yeah it was fun Todd.

I tired to host a Derez, but it said the servers where down and couln't be hosted, so it would load me into a game, but no players. That stinks.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

The trolls generally don't go on the Light Cycle servers, because they know that they can't annoy people as easily there.

But on Disc Arena and particularly Derez, they can freely roam around and attack people as they please. Spawn killing in Derez is one of the worst and most common offenses. Someone who has already collected all the powerups can kill you in one hit. So trolls use this as a cheap tactic to boost their score.

This trolling behaviour on the Disc Arena and Derez servers has affected the Light Cycle servers, too. Players are getting fed up because of their experiences on the other two game types, and will just not play at all any more.

I think the only solution might be to have password protected servers. Trolls may still find out the password, but when that happens it could be changed. It would be an inconvenience to new players, though.

Ahh. Yeah - I can see how trolls can cause more trouble in the Derez game. I never thought of that. Bummer.

Actually - that's a really good idea. And so what if a troll gets the password. Everyone leaves the server, a quick e-mail to everyone with the new PW, and then everyone meets up again, minus one troll. Ok, maybe that's a bit simplistic, but it would be effective I think.

Oh - I didn't know you were going to host your own Derez game. I didn't think of that. I should have waited in server-view a bit longer.

Perhaps next time.

Actually, you've met up with me on the light cycle game grid already.

I usually play under names no one associates as me. Very seldom do I play under a name people recognize as me. Usually only if I make a "meet me..." post first I will play as a Todd recognizable name.

But we've met up on the game grid before. Only once, and it was probably a month or two ago. You were still pretty new to the light cycle game grid, but not playing too bad.

And I'm sure we'll meet up sometime when you know who I am. abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
