Purge will never learn to respect other people. He's done it time and time again, even after being told to stop. I have friends in the community whom he constantly annoys. Last week in a game of DM he came in and did his l33t colored text again. We told him to shut up and go away. Amazingly, he did that time.

We're just gonna have to roll with the punches, I guess. This is why I wish that Tron 2.0 allowed banning by CD-key instead of IP address. Can almost guarantee you'll never see that person again. Oh well.

Excellent!

For the prompt restoration of your avatar, I'm awarding your some build points!

Oooooo - I'm sorry ShivaGoddess, but I just can't award you any build points until you get that taken care of.

Um... I may have to start deducting build points if the problem persists much longer.

Sorry - I don't make the rules around here, I just have to enforce... actually, I did kind of just make that up... But that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hmmm - that's too bad I'll look on the optimistic side of this for now though. He'll either learn how to interact with people and show some respect, or perhaps he'll soon become bored with the game and bother other people in a different MP game. Actually, I've seen him be very respectful on the game grid before - when I was playing LC under another name as a "noob". He even took the time to explain some of the game basics and I got clear the impression he was trying to make a new friend of me - and he wasn't acting all leet-stupid in the process either. Perhaps he can show that kind of respect and be that friendly on the game grid ALL the time. Hopefully he will choose to. Unfortunately, I've seen more often his relentless, irritating harassment and leet-stupid behavior - and his use of game cheats and tricks.

Of course, if Purge fails to modify his behavior soon and show respect for others, there are other ways to purge the game grid of his presence We've dealt with trolls out there before. A unified gaming community can certainly deal with other pests if need be. Communication and cooperation is the key to that. Or if need be - a secure game grid of invitation only (all of the "regulars" would have the password). I'd hate to think that would be necessary though.

One of the things I LOVE so much about the TRON 2.0 gaming community, is that (in general) people have shown great respect for each other and gotten along very well. I don't want to see that dry up because of one or two "leet-geeks" who don't know how to respect the rest of the gamers.

Hi all!

Just played a few games with Ghostrider, =flynn=, and a few others. Great games guys!

I was also on the other night for a little while and played a few light cycle circuits as well as a few rounds of disc arena, which I'm really beginning to get into.

Derez is crazy, but I'm liking that, too.

Ok, maybe I'm just working too late in order to catch anyone. What time/server has everyone been racing? I come online as soon as I get home, about 6:30 EST, but I haven't seen anyone from the sector (unless they're under different names). The only one I've seen in Shiva late at night, but all you others who have apparently been frequenting the grid I haven't encountered. What's the deal?

I'm usually on around the 7PM hour or so (EST) on week days... but I've been very busy lately and haven't hit the game grid during the work week often

But when I do - that is the general time you'll find me out there.

On the weekends, I'll hit the game grid whenever. If I'm going to be on for more than just a few games, I'll usually make a post like this...

Well, I'm heading back over to the game grid... but FIRST, some details of my last venture out there...

Man - it felt really good to hit the game grid after a week off of it. I started out on the Dayentech server, where I found CyberShaman{TG}, GhostRider {TG}, Sylwia, /sbin/auda and bit. I played a few very SHORT rounds... short because I kept self-derezzing very quickly and had to wait long durations for the next round to start. I was VERY rusty and needed to warm up. So I headed over to the patchgonebad.com server to warm up and practice some precision moves to get my game back on.

So I played several rounds alone on the custom grids of the patchgonebad.com server, warming up and getting my feel for the game back. After cycling through a few warm up circuits alone, Raven dropped in Was GREAT seeing you again, man! And shortly after, cutter joined us both - haven't seen you in SOME time cutter! The three of us played about three circuits together.

I was playing exceptionally well for a while - on the custom grids that were much like the TRON film grid - only FOUR walls! Everyone knows how often I end up embedded in the nearest wall - those DAMN walls! Well, I really like the basic grids like that. Not only are there fewer walls for me to end up on, I play SO much better when I can concentrate on the competitive art of trying to out maneuver my opponent, and NOT have to worry if I'm too close to another obstruction, or dangling thing from the ceiling that causes my camera view to jump or other things that throw me off. Yes, I played very well holding my own, and even winning the first circuit against the two It was the circuit that is 4 walls, 4 missiles, a reco, and all speed zone. The next grid I played well on too - almost the same thing, only no speed zones, and no power-ups (I think) - the basic square grid, and GREAT fun to compete on! I only won the one circuit out there, but I played well on the next two as well... of course, better on the ones with fewer walls.

When Tron Fanatic joined us, we were ALL having a blast! But soon Tron Fanatic and myself found ourselves alone... so we enjoyed derezzing each other for a while. Well, he enjoyed derezzing me a little more than I enjoyed derezzing him

After a circuit or two, VMan rezzed in and DJDEREZZ and Boomer too, and we all had a REAL blast out there! There's just NOTHING more relaxing after a hard and long week at work, then rezzing in on the light cycle game grid and finding some of "the regulars" out there to enjoy the time with!

You guys ROCK!

Well, I hope I find some of you still out there...

Just got off the game grid again.

Another GREAT time out there!

This time around I met up with DJDEREZZ{TG}, Giger (various versions), Layer, cutter, TRS-80 [DR] (who took some time off of his usual disc arena activities to join us on the light cycle grid), TheGiftedOne, kobe=rapist, gnardogjay, and for the last few games I played - ShivaGoddessNSG

Well - I had a GREAT time out there, of course. Spent the whole time on the patchgonebad.com server enjoying the custom game grids and EXCELLENT company!

Well, I had heard a little here and there, but Layer dropped a few hints of his current project - one that he and several other master custom grid artists are working on together. All I can say is... YESSSSSSSSSS!

This sounds like a REALLY COOL... WAAAAAAY FRICKIN' COOL project!

It will be some undertaking to pull it off, but man-o-MAN will it be WORTH the wait!

What is it you ask?

Well, let's just say a little trip back in time, to an adventure we all fell in love with long before we could join each other on the MP game grids of today

For details, you're going to have to go to http://www.patchgonebad.com to find out more, unless Layer would like to make some of the details available here too

I'm REALLY looking forward to this Good luck to you Layer and the rest of the crew involved in it! Take your time, guys - don't rush anything. It doesn't matter how long it takes - we'll ALL still be around and ENJOYING it when it's ready!

Well, I'm kind of tired now.

I'm going to hit the sack soon.

I hope to see you all back on the game grid soon

I just got off the game grid.

Sorry I didn't make a "meet me" post, but the server seemed pretty full most of the time anyway.

Man - that was SOME fun out there today!

I was out there for about two and a half hours!

Where do I start? So many cool folks out there and so many GREAT races and plenty of action! There were some great battles out there today on the team light cycle game grid!

I spent my time on the DayenTech Extreme server and enjoyed the team light cycle festivities with: skinup!! [uk], Tantini, Sylwia, =flynn=NSG, ShivaGoddessNSG, TomEdo.rar, U.F.O. (who kept besting me when we eneded up as the last two on the grid SEVERAL times in a row - nice work man!), Programme, DJDEREZZ {TG}, Ender, Supertroper (missing an "o", Super?), Daedock Beta, Krot, (the two flynns are actually brothers!), SOGGY, Chris V3.1, Raven (who was everyone's "Daddy" today ), Dutch Kim, DayenTech (our friendly server provider!), Fart_Burglar, Giger v 3.6.0, Fantole, Bushin, and Rogue Leader.

As you can see - PLENTY of regulars were out there, and it was a real GREAT time we all had!

TomEdo.rar was trying to say something to me about the "forum". I think he meant this thread here at TRON-Sector - but I'm not sure. If you're reading this, TomEdo.rar, sorry I missed what you were trying to tell me. It's hard to play the game and follow the chatting at the same time Are you a TRON-Sector member? If so - post what you were trying to tell me out there. And it was a pleasure to meet you on the game grid, program!

Ok, the lowdown:

I first teamed up with =flynn= and we seemed to do ok out there. We did our share of ruling the grid... and being ruled BY the grid. Actually, today we were ALL ruled by the grid, as it was VERY glitchy the ENTIRE time! I sure wish BVG would fix those nasty bugs! Anyway, =flynn= and myself had some good games and won some circuits and we had plenty of not so good games, but good game or not, we both had a blast playing out there!

When =flynn= left, SOGGY joined me on team green and then WE ruled the game grid... or so we did on and off. We won a few circuits (and lost many). Raven was tearing up the grid as usual - he's a slick one and great fun to compete with!

I know both Rogue Leader and myself suffered from one VERY annoying grid glitch today - the phantom jetwall! At least that's what I think it was. A few times, I noticed another light cycle was only leaving a very short trail behind them, but in close proximity, I seemed to crash through an invisible trail, that I think was their actual trail, but just not showing up for some reason. Usually, I had a shield and would just loose my shield, but sometimes I got caught without one and seemed to just blow up for no reason at all. I know Rogue Leader was complaining about the same thing at least once today. Of course, the infamous WALL STARTS were just hammering us all today. I often slam in to those damn walls all on my own, but tonight - those dams WALL STARTS were just annoying the hell out of everyone!

Aside from the grid bugs, we all had a great time out there today. It's a lot of fun playing team light cycles with a bunch of great personalities out there, and fellow TRON enthusiasts!

I really enjoyed my time out there today. Thank you ALL who I had the pleasure of competing with and teaming up with today!

I may not be on the game grid often throughout the work week, but I'll see you all again soon

Re: Meet me on the game grid!

I just got off the game grid!

I was on the patchgonebad.com server for about an hour or so tonight.

I TRIED to make a "meet me" post, but TRON-Sector was NOT cooperating with me at all and I couldn't get the pages to load So I shouted a "meet me" "shout" at patchgeonebad.com

I had planned on spending tonight trying to figure out how to work the red and blue slapping guys in to my current project... but I just wasted about two hours yesterday coming up dry on the subject. They're there, they slap each other and all, but I need to figure out a cool way of making them get "in" the scene... sorry - just rambling about my never-ending video project again. I really want to finish it, but I've got creative block again

So, after reading a few of the new TRON 2.0 petition sigs on patchgonebad.com, (which we still need LOTS more of) I felt more like spending some FREE time on the game grid instead of spinning my wheels with red-guy and blue-guy again. I'll work on them when I've got some clear ideas for 'em.

Oooo - way side tracked there! Sorry!

On the game grid, I had the pleasure of competing with: Powder, [P|G|B] Capt_C, U.F.O., Cyber Slave, |-|VMAN|-|, Ripstar13[OSM] and Tron Fanatic, .

I don't generally play as well on some of the custom grids there - those maps are indeed PRETTY and very well constructed, BUT many of them contain a lot of extra things that cause my cam to go all over the place, and the color schemes can really confuse my ability to see what's going on... not to mention there are WAY too many walls in some of those grids! More walls means more targets for my WALL-HAPPY light cycle! Anyway, I played well on a couple of circuits and even won one of them ("VMAN Gallery", I think it's called).

Win or loose, I had a great time, as always. I enjoy getting out there on the game grid and competing with the great folks I meet up with.

I spent the last few games going one on one with Tron Fanatic. He can usually derezz me with great skill, after a lengthy dual - those are always fun! Oh, I derezzed him a few times too

Tonight's funnier moment was probably when VMAN and Tron Fanatic went head to head on the basic TRON film looking grid, that's all speed zone and has 4 missiles in the corners of it. Those guys were the last ones left on the grid and must have played head to head for some time - and the dual got really intense. Then, all of a sudden, Tron Fanatic just kind of crashed and it was over - then he typed something about getting tired and giving up! Ok, it was probably funnier if you were there watching it, and saw how it ended and the way he responded. I got a kick out of it anyway. They put on a great show, and I guess Tron Fanatic's fingers got tired first

Had a great time all!

See you on the game grid soon!

You know,Todd, I gotta ask.. do you somehow find time to document everything you encounter on a given night or do you just have a photographic memory? You report your nightly experience almost like a newscaster at a sporting event. I've thought of doing it a couple times but when I get here I find that a lot of what happened is kinda lost because I suppose my mind was a bit too focused on NOT crashing into things. You've got the name of every cyclist who was on the grid. How do you do it? lolabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

LOL

Obviously it's just not possible to document much during the game, so I just make note of the people I encounter during my time there. As far as stories - well, that's easy. Pretty much EVERY time I'm out there, I encounter SEVERAL entertaining and often hilarious moments. All I have to do is remember one or two of them well enough to share in my regular "meet me" follow-up posts. Since I make my follow-up posts right after I get off the game grid, I usually can recall at least one or two of the more memorable moments out there.

I started this thread simply for people to communicate when they'll be on the game grid with the hopes that more TRON-Sector members would meet up with each other there, and also with the hope that more people who just browse this forum take the plunge and become a member, as well as hit the game grid.

Now I fell in love with multi-player light cycles immediately after hitting the game grid for the first time this past May. I've ALWAYS loved light cycles (since seeing the film as a kid) and being able to enjoy it with other people on-line has been a very enjoyable experience.

Much of my excitement playing light cycles on-line spilled in to my posts... and at some point I found myself not just sharing stories because of my own personal excitement for the game, but sharing stories more for the purpose of letting people know the great time we all have out there and the great people they can meet up with if they choose to join us.

In essence, I'm really trying to promote the game itself by sharing just some of what goes on out there. I mean - come on, we have a BLAST out there on the game grid, do we not?

In sharing my experiences and adding the names of those I encounter, I had hoped other people would also share their adventures. But, it seems that I'm the only total-nerd who chooses to invest so much time in to my posts of the game grid festivities. Yes - I spend at least 10 minutes (or more) making many of these game grid follow-up posts. I actually take that in to consideration in knowing when I have to make my game grid exit, so that I have enough time to make a follow-up post and share some of the exciting events that just unfolded.

At this point, I almost feel obligated to write my "meet me" follow-up posts. I know most people could give a crap what I post in here (in terms of the game grid events and stories), and probably just think I'm an idiot for investing all this time in my game grid posts. But I think there are a few gamers out there who enjoy reading my take on it all. I keep hoping that TRON fans and would-be TRON 2.0 multi-players might just happen across this forum, read this thread (or parts of it anyway) and choose to join in the fun as a result.

Anyone who's met up with me on the game grid KNOWS I don't make this stuff up! It's ALL real and if it sounds like we're having a wonderful and fantastic time out there... it's because WE ARE!

In the summer of 1982, I was an 11 year old kid who was TOTALLY blown away by this WONDERFUL, EXCITING, and AMAZING film called TRON. Light cycles... WOW! And now, today, I can REALLY experience the game, on-line, with my fellow TRON-loving light cycle gamers. I love this game (as if one could not tell). Enjoying some quality time on the game grid with the great folks I meet up with is a GREAT stress reliever for me.

I'm really not sure how much longer I'll continue to make my lengthy, detailed "meet me on the game grid" follow-up posts. I keep hoping more people will join in this thread and share some of their experiences too. Sometimes just share a quick blurb about who I met up with, and not so much story because sometimes I'm just dead tired whenwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

sry haven't posted as of late...trying to get over flu and respiratory infection....but have raced a few times..tho that's not why i'm posting tonight...

i was informed by nicola tonight that she no longer intends of racing or playng cyles anymore. Why? Because of the immature people she plays discs with - who follow her over to the grid. She can't take the harrassment anymore...and i can't say as i blame her...i've heard, as well as read the posts on boxhat that have been said to her. I"m trying to talk her out of quiting but as of now have had no luck.

It really is a shame that some ppl just can't come and enjoy plyng a game without ruining it for everyone else. I won't name any names here, but those of you who just can't seem to leave her alone, one of which posts on here from time to time, if i hear of any more harrassment, i'll have you banned from pgb. And as for following her to the grid to cause more trouble, go ahead....see what awaits you there...i can guarantee you won't like it....just grow up and ply like mature ppl...whether you are or not...

Hey ShivaGoddess - I'm sorry to hear there's been "harassment" on the game grid

Not cool.

I'd say just cool off for now. Let the whole "drama" just cool off and don't respond to any trash-talk or taunts. Just let it go and it will fade away that much quicker.

I'm sure it will soon die-off and the game grid will return to it's respectful fun mood

I wish I had said just that when I responded to your post on PGB. I was very irritated to read what had transpired and let my irritation (over that crap) spill in to my post while trying to set it all in perspective and offer my two cents. That thread seems to have disappeared now, and probably for the best. I should not have allowed my irritation to spill out like that - but I really dislike when people make personal attacks on others, and do so for reasons that do not warrant such (childish) behavior.

Well, enough trash-crap.

The game grid is a place for fun, enjoyment, and great company.

I could go for some of that right about now...

Whew! I just got off the game grid.

MAN - was that a GREAT time or what?

I LOVE THIS GAME!

You know - there's just NOTHING like hitting the light cycle game grid and enjoying some action packed adventures with some great people after another long and stressful work week. I feel so much better.

I'm also happy to say, there was a lot of "love" on the game grid tonight and we were all "feeling the love". Of course, you all know what that means Yes, Giger was out there tonight, just spreading the love and we were all feeling it That's what most of the fun is about anyway - sharing the experience with all the great folks that can be meet IN PERSON (digitally speaking) on the game grid!

During my time out there, I had the pleasure of meeting up with: DJDEREZZ{TG}, Oliver14682, pacmantab (been a while - good to catch you on the game grid!), Ch|ef'N -C- (my Corrupt partner in crime tonight), k1773r, TRS-80 [DR], Cyber Slave, Twisted-E|OSM|, josh.exe, [P|G|B]Crackho (who took me down good a few time as we stood last on the grid together back to back a couple of times on one grid), Giger V 4.7.2 and Ender.

I spent my time tonight on the Dayentech extreme server, where it was set up for 2 player, 4-team light cycles. Team light cycles can be great fun when you get at least 3 full teams... of course, the 4th full team (or 8 players) usually causes what is known as "the 8-player bug", but it's really a SERIES of bugs from constant wall starts to odd and defective game play of various kinds. The bugs can be amusing at times, but usually just suck. BUT, at least it sucks with fun people to share the experience with... if that makes any sense

Bugs or not (only buggy while server was full) - we all had a GREAT time out there!

As I said, I teamed up with [P|G|B] Corruption and we dominated the game grid for a couple of circuits! And then we both kind of fell apart for the rest of the time and played not so great. BUT we had a lot of fun doing crappy TOGHETHER! Hell - I kind of turned "crappy" in to an art tonight! My timing was way off, I was hitting walls and blocks (ok, I do that all the time anyway), and I kept turning the wrong way as my cam would often be positioned the opposite way at times (playing free cam). As it turned out, my strongest games tonight were in the first two or three circuits. Usually it's the other way around, but hey - at least I had a few skilled circuits out there before cluttering up the grid with my broken, half-rezzed light cycle

Of course, with all the regulars out there tonight, jokes were just flying about! So many in fact, it's often hard to keep up with them! One had to make a choice - read the chat text and enjoy a good chuckle and risk crashing... or miss the humorous comments and play a little better in the process. Well... I did both. I read as many comments as I could... and usually crashed when I did. And I also opted to focus more on the game actions and miss some of the funnies flying about... and still kind of crashed a lot Man - sometimes there's so much chatter going on, you can't even read it because it scrolls too fast! But the parts you do catch are usually quite funny!

Oh man - I'm blanking on the jokes now! Oh man - I really should start taking better notes (or any notes really). I'm so tempted to actually start capturing video of my time on the game grid and put together a highlight reel. It would probably not be a "skilled player" highlight reel, but more of a "TRON, light cycles, and 30 somethings (a mix of ages really) telling fart jokes on the game grid - WHAT A SHOW folks!" kind of thing. That's pretty much what it's about - great game, great company, and really awful jokes and gags! I often wonder if it would be amusing for people to watch some of the silliness after it has already played out. Day to day we LIVE it on the ga

we decided that any of us would be better for president than the two we get to choose from now..so as it stands.... it's me with harpo as my running mate..with djderezz as sec of state..and rav and dirk as secret service if they like....
