I just got off the game grid - I wasn't there for long (less than an hour).

I started off playing in the Disc Arena (under other name). I'm not very good in the arena, but it's fun to play and I find myself there from time to time. But one by one, the arena servers shut down and all the arena players ended up arena-less. So I headed over to the light cycle game grid (MY FAVORITE) for some fun

On the light cycle game grid I had the pleasure of competing with: RAM, Ghost, capt_capacitor, Neof0x, Program, The New Guy (who plays very well now), The Lord (who I thought might have been Crash but is definitely was not - he was gone quickly too), and Win32?$Y|K3nnY.

I played most of the rounds with Ghost and The New Guy - who seemed to take turns derezzing me today

Had a great time all

But I'd do MUCH better if those damn walls weren't there to stop me

Just got off the game grid!

Tonight I met up with: Cyberdott, Damon Graves, Ripstar13[CD], Dutch Kim, a robot, The Ex-Napsta, Omega.User, WingDemon_, TheGiftedOne (and his cousin, I think), Subfiler, capt_capacitor, recycleBIN\, papa smurf, GeneralSideWalk and nefar|ous - who only stayed for a game or two.

There were some good races out there. I had my personal strongest moments within the first several races, and won the 2nd circuit I played (may have been 1st - don't recall now). Then it was back to my usual fancy moves and wall head butting. I used a lot of fancy moves tonight - not that it did my much good. Sometimes I like to make little mazes out there, waiting for a player to enter my little web And sometimes I just turn all over the place to slow me down, waiting for the nearest trail to get out of my way.

I was asked tonight if I was using a macro. I'll take that as a compliment, but I was not and do not use any macros to aide me in my fancy moves. I can indeed work up a nice, tight set of close turns, and weave them in to a maze... so long as my timing doesn't do me in As fast as I can turn, I can also derezz myself - as many of you know! But no macros. It's ALL me, baby!

Just got off the game grid!

Ok, I pretty much SUCKED up until my last several games tonight. Well, I guess that means I sucked in the first two circuts, and had some good moments in the last circuit... even though the game grid broke. DAMN GRID! The last circuit was the one with the large green speed-zone in the center and often breaks and the speed zones all stop working and everyone enjoys a sllooooooooooowwwwwwwwww game until the next grid. Oh well, slow grid or not, I had "my moments" there tonight

Tonight I had the pleasure of competing with Sylwia, Disco.Stu (who was cleaning up left and right as usual - always good to see you out there!), Dutch Kim, AWillsea, bit, The New Guy, cogman, ribof|avin, French Fried Pi, and ChaosMatrix.exe.

As I said, I started off with absolutely no timing, and derezzing myself left and right as well as just performing like a total noob out there. Perhaps because I was just working on a creative project and I wasn't totally shifted from "stop motion animation mode" to "LC mode" yet, or perhaps just because.

But a player stopped in that seemed to shift me in to my "game mode" tonight. A light cycle demon, grandmaster of quick-turns and precision tactic execution skills showed up. I picked up on his playing technique... and the fact that he was giving Disco.Stu a real run for his money out there.

He stopped in under a different name than his usual, well known "uh oh - he's here - we're all dead now" name. I understand why he does that and respect it I'm sure it must get annoying with the instant attention that "the name" must get - and sometimes it's just more fun to be seen as "just one of the cyclists" rather than "the grid grandmaster".

Though some are intimidated by his skills, I am inspired.

Forgive the corny sound of this, but once I picked him out tonight, my game was on, and in full force!

In fact, I took him down in the very next game (1st game of my last circuit tonight). And in his typical cool fashion - he praised my skill in taking him down. That would be my only win against him tonight, but it was a good game for me and an inspired moment on the grid.

Of course, ALWAYS an honor to go up against you, man And taking you down - is the icing on the cake! I wish I could meet up with you on the grid more often

Well, I had another great time out there!

I started out ok, but my games slowly got worse as the evening progressed. My timing kind of faded away, as those wall magnets kicked in after a while and I was just playing awful. Oh well - I had some good moments out there tonight. Didn't win any circuits, but I sure had a BLAST!

2nd round tonight I had the pleasure of competing with: cogman, GHOST [PD], -I- Isaac [DR], CyberShaman, Sylwia, bit, Mike (a noob[?] who played pretty damn good and derezzed me and several others a couple of times!), ECHO, Ghost, Layer (good to see you out there!), and ChaosMatrix.exe

My second time on the grid tonight started out on my favorite circuit (the one with 3 shields and the back-alley missile or turbo curse). LOTS of heated competition there and we all took each other out several times it seemed. Great fun! There were some really good circuits tonight, but my game did get progressively worse as the night wore on. Oh well. Still had a great time and always a pleasure to compete with the good folks who regular the light cycle game grid!
