Where is the beta signups
This should be interesting, especially if new features are added. Xbox's are owned by quite a few people and tron 2.0 should give the hardware a good workout. Looking forward to seeing how the port turns out.
BTW, who stuck the xbox logo on jet's chest! If any sort of advertising has to be on jet, I say a penguin should be stuck on him

I just remembered that one of my friends that I have not seen in years, but have spoken to on the phone often, has an Xbox. Sounds like a good reason for a visit!

When TRON 2.0 pc first came out I heard that it was going to be also be released on the X-BOX system, but when I didn't know. I thought the rumors might be false. I'am very much looking forward to this since I own an X-BOX. I hope the release of this game onto other game consoles only drives the market for this game and gives it the creditbility it truly deserves.

Weell from my understanding of it. ANd please if anyone else who may know a little more than I do please corret me on it if I misunderstood it. From what I know for the Xbox. THere is the basic Operating system to load and the game itself. (This is just breaking it down to the bare bone basics of things. So don't exactly flame me on it in a bad way.) And any other footages that go between the different sections. I mean its just my interpreation of what it does for loading and playing games on such a console.
They might have made some small changes in it. What exactly I do not know. Someone like Davetron Or one of hi associates that deals with something like that might know. But due to restriction. And I'm not going to ask. Since there are reason to it. Thats the only things that I can come up with. Could be worst like Porting it to another OS like Linux, Solaris, AIX, or other OS that require more time to convert from the Stanadard windows enviroment that we all have grown accustom to. TO another os that is more difficult to work with. (ANd I have worked in some really command line only OS myself. Like Vax VMS, and linux just to name two that I know right off the top of my head.)

The press release is the ONLY information publicly available about this game right now. As Cliff and I learn what we can and cannot say, we will tell you more, just like we did with the PC!

If it is being made using Climax's existing Blimey engine technology then porting it to the Playstation 2 will be a relative "piece of cake" for Climax to do. However, if the Touchdown Jupiter engine for the XBOX is being used, then there won't be a PS2 port since there is no version of the engine for the PS2.
As for whether or not there will be new game content, if the Jupiter engine is used, then all of the media assets from the PC version can be reused so doing a straight port of the PC game would be relatively quick and easy aside from the XBOX live integration. So, if the release schedule for the game is not for several months, the development team at Climax would have plenty of time to create lots of new content if not rushed.
[addendum]I just saw that Climax is a Touchdown licensee so it looks like the Jupiter engine will be used. So, there most likely won't be a Playstation 2 port unless the old Lithtech Cobalt engine is used and I don't think that it supports multiplayer.
Using Jupiter would be a benefit to PC users because any new models and maps created for the XBOX version of Tron could also be used in the PC version (with very minimal conversion effort) if BVI made them available.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Hmmm... I second the question about beta signups
I actually have an XBox, which I hardly use at all (won it from Taco Bell), but this would be an interesting use for it. For a first-person shooter, though, the XBox controller is incredibly sub-par to a good old mouse and keyboard. I have Halo for XBox and that's one of the reasons I couldn't play it much.

I hope those versions of Jet and Mercury make it into the console game...that pic's just too sweet.
I really like the idea of trying out the small version controller for 2.0
...but everyone should know, there's an adaptor you can get (at Wally World) that allows a ps1 dual analog to be used on an Xbox or Gamecube!! (don't know about a ps2 controller-an advisory there)
btw, with that adaptor, I can drive like a pro on GC mariokart, and I can skate like a madman on Jet Grind for Xbox.
