I think its a good thing for the Console gamers. Even though I do not own an XBox myself. I do know that the Xbox can handle thins cause of the hardware that is inside the machine itself. ANd its capable of running this game.
sienote Like the picture there Davetron to represent the XBOX idea. With the green highlights and the black outfits. THats an Idea that I didn't even think of. Good idea.

That's great for the Xbox owners, and I hope you guys make boatloads of cash. Hopefully this will broaden the audience for TRON 2.0 and increase the demand for related products and media, i.e. games and a new movie.

To expand on what MutoidMan said, is this going to be the same single player game as the PC version, or is there going to be Xbox only content? Or is it a new version altogether?
Good- Will help promote TRON and bring it to a wider audience. This might increase our chances of seeing some sort of sequel!
Bad- If Xbox owners get a stable game without flaws, the PC gamers might feel even more abandoned than before. Left with our still buggy multiplayer mode, like a test market. 
I don't own an Xbox, and have no plans to get one (not even for TRON). It'll be fun to see where this goes. It will no doubt be good for BVI / BVG. I have a bad feeling some PC fans will fuss though. I hope everyone can just keep in mind that It Is A GAME!

Honestly, my first 'knee-jerk' reaction is "Thanks from the PC gamers" (Yes, sarcasm) However I realize most decisions for stuff like this is after long discussions, talks and planning. So now I'm glad the Tron 2.0 universe is expanding to get a larger fan-base (To keep the franchise going).
I just hope there ARE indeed plans to expand that universe on the PC platform as well.
Hopefully, this is also a good indication that Tron 2.0 for the PC sales were at least good enough to warrent such a deal between DI and MS.

cool! new multiplayer stuff! for Xbox? too bad for me, but if this goes well, then perhaps it could go like this:
-Tron2.0 is released for PC
-Tron2.0: Killer App is released for Xbox
-Tron2.0: Datawraith expansion is released for PC including exclusive Tron-sector multiplayer charachters, and new missions with Harpo989 as the new boss. 
thousands of Xbox owners buy new computers and Tron 2.0 so they can play the new pack. 
-Tron 2.0 in thaters soon...

Ugh. I don't know what to think about this.
On the one hand it's great, hopefully it will boost  awareness. And of course, console games always make more money than PC games so I'm sure BVG will make buckets of cash if this title does well.
I have the same question as everyone else. Is this more-or-less a straight port, or is there new Xbox-only "exclusive content". I suspect the latter. Well, as long as this new content isn't too significant, it's not a big deal to those of us who bought the PC game then, I suppose.
I too, hope the PC side isn't abandoned in favor of consoles. Otherwise, those of us who supported the game will be left feeling a bit ripped off . . . it would be like BVG saying, to quote Douglas Adams: "So long, and thanks for all the fish". That's putting it lightly.
Well, I shall wait and see. I was wondering whatever happened to the purported Xbox version. Now we know. But I have to say, the new costumes look . . . er . . . lame. Sorry. Talk about your product placements. Jet wearing an Xbox logo. Sheesh.

meaning that Tron 1.0 was... corrupted? then it would make sense why Sark wanted to get rid of them, but the fact that you kill them in 2.0 would be odd...

I could only imagine that it's a straight port or in this case. runable off of the CD on the XBox. I don't know if some people know about this. THe xbox itself is just a plain old computer without the extra that are usually in there.. Like firewire, USB plugs, printer, serial, keyboard, etcs. Its a computer none the less. If I rmemeber correctly there are specifications directly at xbox.com of what the inside are. But it should work the same way. But thats just me though.

Yeah, I know it's a PC in disguise. But PC games won't run on the Xbox without some modification. The amount of work invested in porting though, should be fairly minimal, say compared to porting it over to the PS2 or Gamecube.
The big question is, did they just make the changes necessary to get it to run on Xbox, or do more? And I would guess they did more. Possibly new level designs and/or changes to the gameplay.
