i sent my fiancee' to get my copy since they didn't have it anywhere near me. She went to a biz meeting in an area that had it about an hour away. Correct me if i'm wrong people, but isn't this the way Tron flopped in the theaters? Lack of publicity? I understand PC's aren't in the market's eye nearly as much as consoles but gimme a break. You'd think disney being the giant corporation it is would've pushed this more. I'm really disappointed after all these years they didn't learn a lesson. However, i'm certain that they have no control over how it's displayed. If they do then they did pay enough to be the vendor's primary concern....Either way I'm so friggin' pleased with the game. It's like i'm eight years old again!! Congrats Monolith you've exceeded my expectations.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

There's more pubicility this time.
But some game stores are too lazy about it! For instance, EB games. I didn't see Tron 2.0 pre order box until about a week or two ago. Someone already mentioned that EB games has a rotation schedule. -.-;
Edit-- I'm also really irriated with EB games. They had preorder boxes for games that wouldn't be out for a long time, but yet, they took so long to put up the Tron 2.0 preorder boxes? For some reason, the release date given by the EB nearest my work - Burwood, NSW, Australia - is the same as the US release date. This is odd as very few games make it to Australia less than a week after they're released in the US.
This morning (Thursday, August 28th), I went to EB and there are still no boxes on shelves, not even any pre-order/promo boxes. I asked the clerk when the game was due, and he could only give me the same date, August 26th - "so, any time now", he said. Very promising, I'm sure you'll agree.
So does anyone know what the actual Australian release date of Tron 2.0 is?abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

BIG, no HUGE display of Tron 2.0 in the Bellevue, WA, Best Buy. I wish that the people who stock the shelves in these places will learn to put the new things in their own section, wouldn't it make good sense to make a "New Release" section?abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Het everyone,
I was nearby the local walmart newar by me. And they had the copies of TRon 2.0 about 6-7 of them on a rack with some of the other software that they were selling. I had also gone by the local Bureau En Gros as well(Staples equivilant of the same company.) They didn't even have anything on the shelves or a small display. I had to literally ask one of the salesman to see if they had it. He didn't even know until a manager came around and said they did. They were going to put ot out today or tomorrow.

My local Wal-Mart has it's very own Tron 2.0 display case standing about 5 feet tall from the floor on up with about 15 games in it! And it's standing in an open area for all to see. AND it's on sale for $47.77.
I thought that was pretty cool.

While I was out today getting my weekend paper that I usually get from Toronto. I had stopped by Future Shop, Costco and Bureau Engros(Staples if no one doesn't know french.) Costco has it, Dutureshop has it. But the Bureau En Gros still didn't put it out on Display. The other two (Costco and Future SHop) I didn't see the nice pretty stand that everyone has been talking about. I've seen up here thestand that EB games has with the hint book as well. But not at the other places. I thought it would have been cool to see it everywhere the advertising for it.
And maybe try and sell the Original Movies as well of Tron. Kind of make thge package complete. THe movie on VHS or DVD and buy the game. you know. Like come on big guys. How hard is it to make a good game like tron 2.0 and the original movies a sweet deal. Nice combo no?

Okay, the status on ebgames at towne east mall...
They still have the preorder boxes. No Tron 2.0 at all.
Silver-Streak mentioned that they *never* got the shipment and they don't know why.

DaveTRON Wrote:I bought my copy (Gotta support the game!) tonight at the local Fry's store in Burbank, CA. 28 copies on the shelf. Eye level, big sign on the shelf calling it out. $49.95 for the game. No other paraphenalia visible, but a good selection. Took a minute to find the Action section though. It's not on the main games aisle, it's just around the corner. |
I ordered from a store I frequent in Pasadena.
Interactcd.com, $44.95, about ten copies that were moving briskly.
Fryes, imo, is too expensive and far too many people (employees) with no clue. They are happier selling washing machines.
Edit - I went to the Burbank BestBuy and was greeted at the door by the 6' tall standup for the game. They had better than 10 copies at $49.95,
I asked for the movie on Dvd and was told in 2-4 weeks.

About 6 boxes on best buy (east)'s shelves. :O
Was so happy when I was groping the box. Had to let go as I was too broke at the moment. ^^;

I went to BEST BUY today also. They only had "ONE" copy left in the entire store. Store shelves were empty to my surprize. The game must be selling pretty good then, if there was only one copy left.

EB Burwood, NSW, Australia: Managed to snag their last copy of five this morning. Looks like they turned up yesterday (Tues 9th). It was above eye-level, out of the New Releases area and in the General/Recent section (not that either area is actually delineated as such, but anyway). It was on its side, facing so that it could be seen easier. No in-store advertising, i.e. standups. The clerk gave me the impression that it could be a word-of-mouth sleeper-hit; he reckoned it'd be the sort of game where people would suddenly start asking for it after they'd run out of stock.
Major, mad props to Mr. Arnspiger, who took the time to investigate and answer a privately-e-mailed query regarding the Australian release date. Thank you, DaveTRON!
