Well this certainly bites. Big time. Wish I knew how bad this thing was before I pre-ordered. Now the $5 coupons are gone. Just cancelled my order (what good is that kind of storage system where the discs all stack on top of each other??!!). Decided to go with the regular 5-disc set, since it includes the 3D copy and the Blu of the original Tron. I already have the 20th ann. DVD. I don't have 3D yet, but probably will eventually, so I'll pony up now.

At least I saved a few bucks over the crapola ID version. Holy...what were they thinking? If they were going to do that, why not have separate disc mounting pieces on the main hinge, with the ability to have a disc on the front and back of each mounting piece?? Pathetic. I'm a completionist...and I ain't even going to buy it to keep closed. Thanks for the video. Saved me a few bucks.

I mean, what in the &^&^%$%^^& were they thinking when putting discs one on top of another? I thought it would be like you said, the mounting piece? At least have the discs flip like a book or something to keep them stabilized. I canned the preorder. I'd rather save a couple of bucks at walmart and get two separate sets than pay for this. I was really disappointed to see this. Even on amazon, the more recent posts talk about canceling it since seeing the unboxing vid.

Heck, I haven't purchased much in the way of Sci Fi stuff in ages, so this is fun for me, to have a fandom I can buy again. Except for the Making of...book, I didn't even get much of Star Trek 2009, shockingly.

Anyone know if Disney is going to have a 3D version of the Original Tron (with 3D effects added post production)?

What sort of "Collector's Edition" box requires you to get your fingerprints on all the discs every time you want to play one, and have a higher chance of creating scratches and scuffs while trying to get the discs out, and when moving the box around, etc. Fail. I'm tempted to cancel my pre-order as a matter of principle. What a poor design decision. And yet one more light-up prop fail. You have to hold the button in? Good grief...

For me, this isn't about the light. It's about the fact that it'll be cheaper and I'll get more value out of buying TRON: Legacy and TRON in separate Blu-Ray/DVD packs. I want to get both movies in a Blu-Ray/DVD/digital download combo but with this set you only get Legacy as a DVD and digital download, not the original TRON.

Others have expressed concerns about the packaging and potential for damage to the media since it's all on a spindle as opposed to individual leaves. I can side with that as well.

If this set came with all the bells and whistles of the separate packs as well as a better means of storage, I would have bought it. It didn't. That's the deal breaker.

Yes, the Blu-Ray edition of TRON has a DVD copy as well as a digital download. It's the only way I've seen that you can get them when you purchase any of the sets. I already pre-ordered from Best Buy and knew nothing about the t-shirt thing.
