On blu. If they included a DVD copy of the original Tron in the 5 disc set, it would have to be on a separate disc. That's the impression that I got from the un-boxing video and everything I've been reading. As much as I like the nifty packaging of the 5 disk set, I'll be saving money and getting more by buying them separately. If I buy Legacy at Wal-Mart, I'll even get a spiffy lightcycle. upon closer inspection it does not say the lithograph is exclusive to ts.com. its listed in the 5 disc, 2 movie collection. I'm assuming now that this is something incuded with the 5 disc set that all retailers will have. Agreed, i'm not sure how to justify $69.99 for extra plastic with a button batt. Maybe if youre lucky the piece of trash wont cause your discs to ruin eachother from household dust and rubbing.
And yes, the tron merch and licence is pretty sloppy. Sad to say, even the Hot Toys items arent that impressive. Detailed yes, articulate and accurate... kinda, and "kinda" just doesnt cut it when youre paying $150+ of your adult dollars.

I'm canceling mine. I have a 3D tv (got a REAL good deal on it). What I plan on doing is getting:
TRON: Legacy (3D Blu-ray + 2D Blu-ray + Standard DVD + Digital Copy) (Widescreen)
and
TRON: The Original Classic (Special Edition) (Blu-ray + Standard DVD) (Widescreen).
This way, I can get the classic in both blu ray and dvd, plus get tron legacy with all the extras cheaper than getting the 5 disc without the tron classic dvd.
Question: If I do this, will I miss any extras? It doesn't seem like it in the description, but just want to check with the Tron experts here before I take the plunge and cancel the disc package.
PS--showed the unboxing to my sis who is not a tron fan and thought the packaging was a POS.

I went with the Regular 5 disc edition.
It's $45 bucks for me off Amazon. Not sure if they still have that deal going, though.
Thankfully I have a Blu-Ray player, and the 20th Anniversary DVD, so I'll be A-okay.

I can't wait to not get this! What's the point. Already have all three deluxe discs, signed Bruce disc. Don't need another tiny one when I just want the movies. Thanks for posting, saved me a few bucks!

I have the 20th Anniversary, but I'm still getting the Blu-Ray of Tron. Something about Tron Blu-Ray just grabs me, and since I bought an HD TV, I might as well see one of my all-time favorite movies in the way it was supposed to be seen.

Well, maybe it all depends if you want the digital copy or not. If that doesn't matter, go with the light cycle. I was going to get that set, but I wanted the digital copy.

I spoke with one of the online chat reps from the best buy site. She said she couldn't send me the image, but said the shirt is Black and the cover of the case is says Tron Evolution with a Yellow identity disk and partial back exposure.
I'm busy compiling...
