Accusing? Of what? I merely stated they sponsored it. Isoline first demanded irrefutable proof they did to which my response was to show us irrefutable proof they didn't. I really don't care one way or the other. Believe whatever you like. Yes, Tron has lost all of it's cult status because it has become this overnight pop-culture phenom that is immitated by the likes of Blackeyed Peas, Justin Bieber and Ozzy Osbourne for the sake of being "hip" and "cool" with the pop-culture crowd and OMG! Tron sold-out and they are force feeding the Tron brand down our throats just like Lucasfilm has been doing to us with $tar War$! where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

OF COURSE LUCAS was involved in the Volkswagon commercial. Did you note the use of licensed Star Wars music and the use of a licensed character?

Did you see or hear any licensed Tron music or images during either the halftime show or the Best Buy commercial?

Me neither.

You bleating that you're right 50x doesn't make it so, I'm not going to keep arguing with you but I'd love you to post even the smallest morsel of fact supporting your argument besides 'you guys are blind and don't know how marketing works!!'

No I don't think it's harsh. If he's allowed to make his point loudly several times (including at one point accusing everyone of being stupid and not understanding marketing) then I'm allowed to make my point. Especially when I was the one who brought up the SW commercial in the first place.

You can't make a statement like 'Disney sponsored the HT show and the Beiber commercial and if you don't like it you don't understand marketing' and not expect to get questioned. There hasn't been the slightest indication that Disney had anything to do with either the Best Buy commercial or the HT show besides some vaguely familiar costume work. I'm allowed to respond to such statements and I will continue to do so.

edit: I will say I have no idea what that has to do with the original topic. Tron lost its cult status when a blockbuster movie came out in 2010. Any cult status it had was gone once that happened, halftime show or not.

World Peace!

I don't think that Tron has lost it's cult status completely, but it is getting more popular. Which I don't think is a bad thing...

I agree with that too. I remember getting so excited for a new movie a decade ago when Tron 2.0 finally came out (there was a lot of talk about a new movie in that era.) I actually passed on the game cause I didn't play FPS games back then. Once it came out to mediocre reviews and I saw some of the old toy reissues, and it just kinda died down.

I pretty much gave up hope on a new movie, and then we were given one. An awesome one with an amazing soundtrack. A movie that built on the original rather than tried to pretend it didn't exist just cause it hasn't aged that well. It's been all great, and I definitely want a new movie. I don't understand about the complaints about losing Tron from cult status, it's got a really long way to become Star Wars. If you're that desperate for a cult 80's movie with videogames there's always Cloak and Dagger order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I saw a piece calling Tron Legacy the offshoot of a "film that wouldn't go away". I didn't realize it was in anyone's face! I've loved Tron since day one, and when I mention it, people know what I'm talking about, but never saw it, or saw it once and didn't care for it. BUT THEY KNOW ABOUT IT! For me. I'm glad this film didn't go away.

Forget it, Mr High and Mighty Master Control. You aren't making me talk.
