It's my birthday today. Yay! I think.
Took the day off, and spent part of the day on a nice long drive out to the countryside.
Then I ran some errands I'd been meaning to get around to. Yeah, running errands on your birthday. Like renewing your driver's license and license plate sticker, and getting ripped off by the government big time. Whee.
So it's been some good, some bad. At least I had the day off. Party comes later.

Sucks to have to run errands on your birthday. Sucks even more to be giving up your hard earned cash to the government. Funny how the government (no matter what country) always seems to know how to spend our money that we earned better than we do, huh? Don't even get me started on that one.
But aside from that, at least you got the day off and enjoyed a good drive through the countryside.

I was pretty peeved at how expensive renewing my license and sticker, turned out to be. This year I got hit by the double whammy of having to renew both. It cost $150 total. A serious rip-off.
Yep, the government is sure good at taking and spending our money. And not giving much back, or getting good value out of it.
