 This is one of the most rediculus things ever to hit godzilla his name: Mogira Occupation: being an anoyance and a bad yoda impersonator, he had no real signifacance in the series besides being the ALLEGED son of godzilla.

I saw that episode (film) of Godzilla back in the early 80's. I was young enough to not get too turned off by it, but remember thinking it was a pretty cheesy move - even for a Godzilla film. I could have done with out him. He wasn't as annoying as say, Scrappy-Doo, but he did nothing for the film series.

Naa - Yoda was like 800 years old! Then again, I can't remember how old Godzilla's son was. Been more than 20 years since I saw that particular installment. I know it was made long before Star Wars, but I think Yoda was older. 
And the cartoon version of Godzilla's son was a lot more palatable, or so I thought. Then again, I was pretty young for that one too. Live action Godzilla's son spoke in English (after being English-dubbed), cartoon Godzilla's son only made grunts and other mostly unintelligible sounds if memory serves. I just remember when he called out to Godzilla he kind of sounded like he was a bit constipated!

Yeah, I remember that one. I think that's one of the first Godzilla movies we bought...
And, as bad as that is, I still think Hedorah was stupider. No, really.

You know - I'm probably in the minority here, but the 1998 American Godzilla movie didn't bother me. I actually enjoyed it.
In terms of the Godzilla, I never for a moment even considered comparing it to the real thing. There is only ONE real Godzilla monster and that is one featured in the Japanese-made series of films. I'm not generally a fan of remakes (reimagining), but never considered this as a replacement of Godzilla, just something kind of based on it or inspired by it.
The 1998 American Godzilla wans't a great film, but it was a fun film. I went to it expecting to see a giant radioactive lizard causing trouble and stepping on things. That's pretty much what I got. Didn't care for the ending, but otherwise it was a fun, lighthearted film. Again, NOT to be confused with the real Godzilla that there can only ever be one of.
One of my favorite Godzilla films was the Godzilla vs. Mecca-Godzilla (sp?). And for some reason, I rather enjoyed the one with those two teeny, tiny singing women. I haven't seen a real Godzilla film in at least 20 years, probably longer, so forgive my vague memories.

I liked the 1998 godzilla flick too. It was just for entertainment.

I'm not a fan of Godzilla, but I enjoyed the '98 movie. For some odd reason, my mom and dad like repeating "Gojira!" in thick japanese accents, everytime that movie comes on TV.
And who could forget the cartoon?

Wow - thanks for the Godzilla cartoon intro video! I haven't seen that in literally more than TWO decades! That was one of several Saturday morning cartoons I enjoyed as a kid. Ahh - the memories.
