I'm sorry I don't have a cool birthday video for you like you had for my non-birthday, but I'll offer you these very special ruby slippers. They probably won't fit you, but they're a great conversation piece and must be worth something because this chick's sister REALLY wants them back bad.
Something fun to try - hold the ruby slippers up to your ears so that they are pointing up and the hole where the foot goes is covering your ears. Then look in the mirror and say "It's life, Jim, but not as we know it." See? Instant Spok costume!

Heh, thanks guys. Sorry I'm late, but on Saturday (being the geek I am), I had a birthday LAN Party, and yesterday I couldn't get on the Sector for some bizarre reason.
I'm now trying to adjust to one of my presents - a TFT monitor.
It's weird! When I turn my computer on at the mains, I'm accustomed to hearing 'zum... GAK!', with the 'zum' being my speakers powering up, and the 'GAK!' being my tank of a CRT switching on. But now... all I hear is the 'zum' with no 'GAK!', and I keep thinking that something's gone wrong - like there's a disturbance in the GAK... 
But on the bright side, everything is a lot clearer now, and I have more space on my desk, which just about makes up for the lack of 'GAK!'. Hey - that rhymes! I'm a poet and I didn't realise until just now.
...how did you end up with a pair of ruby slippers in your garden? Some sort of side effect of grass and weed killer?
