brain-farts

on Tuesday, December, 05, 2006 6:22 PM
I was e-mailing my Mom today, and in the background on my computer, I had my TheReelTodd.com website open which I had just updated a couple of comments to.

I was curious as to who was visiting my site at the moment, so I went to click on the "Who's Online" link on the left side but couldn't find it... then I realized that I don't have a Who's Online button, TRON-Sector does!

Oh man - the strange way my brain works... or in this case, doesn't work!

Ok, so that's a brain-fart I had today. To be honest, I get several each day.

Ok, I told you one of mine.

YOUR turn!

I have that kind of crap happen to me all the time.

mostly it's just because I'm horrible with names. Anyone tells me their name, and I pretty much forget it in the next 3 to 5 minutes, unless it's something different than the norm.

I just today referred to my friend Jack (Who, no matter how manny times he says he preferrs 'Jack' teachers and other piers call him 'Jaccob') as Alex (Another friend of mine...who is always hanging out with him...and no matter how different they look, I confuse names) and he got mad at me.

Anyway,

I have confused manny websites and thought it was Tron-Sector for a slight seccond. Even those that have nothing to do with Tron whatsoever.

I mix up names all the time too. It generally does piss people off when ya do that. But for me, I always know who I'm talking to... I just don't always reach for the right name in my jumbled up memory circuits.

Why? That's exactly the point of threads like this one.

Here's a good one. My garage door was broken, and I usually leave and walk my dog without keys or anything, because I have the keyless entry on the garage door opener.

Well, I wrote myself a sticky note, and put it on the dog leash. Aaaaand then left the house without my keys. Came home from the walk and there was the sticky note... on the ground, waiting for me, outside the house. I called my wife who was still about 20 miles from home. Doh!

I had to sit in the backyard and play games on my phone until she came home.

A few months back, I was trying to work out a maths problem (in, believe it or not, a maths lesson). The problem was this:

3t-9

I can't remember what we had to do with it, but I do remember that after about a minute of mental calculations, I came to this conclusion:

3t-9 = 3t-9

I then looked down at my answer, and bashed my head on the desk. When things like this happen now, my friends tell me I've had a '3t-9' moment.

Ahh - this is great!

So good to know I'm not the only one with mis-firing neurons.

This one is from many years ago, but I'll never forget it. I was talking on the phone with my girlfriend (who later became my wife) and remembered that it was time to take some medication that I was on at the time. I grabbed some water, grabbed the usual pills, swallowed them, and then it dawned on me...

I just swallowed SLEEPING PILLS in the middle of the day!

I tried to force myself to throw up, but it was no use. I had Sominex in my system shortly after lunch time. DOH!

Didn't put me to sleep, but man did I feel very drugged and sleep-ish (hard to explain). I had to try and stay awake so that I would be able to sleep later that night... several HOURS later that night.

Was driving on automatic when I went to take my pills - so used to taking sleeping pills just before bedtime that I didn't think about what pills I was grabbing!

In English, we've been doing various pieces of poetry in preparation for upcoming coursework and exams this year and next year. Today, the teacher asked this girl to read one of the poems out, and when I couldn't hear her I tried to find the remote to turn the volume up.

Nah... "bad" would have been trying to find her volume button.

Worst brain-fart I've had recently was last week when I put 10 litres of unleaded petrol into my car on my way home from work. Problem is, my car has a diesel engine. It cost me £318 (US$627) to get it repaired. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I often have brain farts like these. The other day, on the way home from school, we were driving behind a taxi. Underneath the taxi's number plate was the number '27'. I was trying to work out what the number meant, when I came to the conclusion that it must have been the maximum number of people allowed in the taxi, and I didn't give it a second thought.

...until about two minutes later, when I realised that it's tricky to fit 27 people into a five-seater taxi. I never worked out what the number was for.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Probably the taxi licence number. My Dad and brother used to be taxi drivers and each taxi had to have a plate attached with their licence number on.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

First, I gotta say that 'brain-fart' is one of the best words I've ever heard. Seriously, you guys.

And one that I've had? Well, it's so hard to choose...

My favorite (so far) is when I was writing a letter to a friend of mine. Yes, a snail-mail letter. And as I was writing, I kept reaching up to click "Spell Check" and "Word-Count". Actually moving my hand as though it was on a mouse and trying to click the little dropdown menus. Which, of course, don't exist on regular paper. *'s from the smart*

Yeah, go me. *waves a flag*

Gee, I hope my teammates don't show up. I'd hate to live through this.
