Yeah, the MSN chatting is a really nice convenience for us, which explains why we not on TS a lot.

Man, has it really been that long of a hiatus?

Hey guys. Let me give you an update on what has happened in the past 7 months.

Essentially, I got upset over the buttheads on YouTube giving me bad criticism. It was very hard to make a film when people were commenting on how much they hated your trailer. It got me mad, especially considering how much work was being poured into each CGI frame. So, losing faith in the project, I put it aside, hoping to finish it in the near future.

Soon, communication ceased with Chikan and whenever I talk to NoExcuses on MSN, we don't talk about the movie.

Lately, while working on Tron Wiki and updating it with the news on Tron 2.0 Killer App Mod, I kept on getting reminded on the movie, due to the article I wrote on the wiki. Every time I would go look in the index of the wiki, I would see "Open Source Tron Movie Project" and I say to myself, "Some time, I'll get it done".

Well, today, I think that time has come.

I feel up to the challenge of making a movie again, and I am looking forward to work with Jimi again (if he's up to it). However, I am going to some changes to our plan.

There is probably not going to be a DVD release. It's just too much work to make one and if we're going to sell it, then we start messing around with Disney and probably get sued, so the movie will most likely be available freely online. We'll still find some way to have the easter eggs and commentaries available though.

And if NoExcuses is up to it, he will be handling the animation with me. I love the animation he did for the opening shot and I can't animate all of the shots myself, so if he wants, he'll animate with me.

More news (hopefully) will be posted, but right now I just finished downloading Half-Life 1 on Steam and I'm dying to play it!
