Dave, thanks for posting the orignial link and then the additional write-up by Mr. Bonifer.

He's easily my favorite character from the film and someone that I had always wanted to meet. I truly hope his family is doing well and wish them my condolences.

He'll be missed by many....

It was a really good read. It gave some personal insite as to the personallity of Mr. Hughes. I would have loved to meet him.

Dumont was the father figure in Tron. Protective, caring, suportive, and willing to give up his existants to for the freedom of the system even though there was doubt.

I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks, renting other films that he stared in. I remember him as the grandpa in "The Lost Boys"... but other films that I've missed, I'm going to make up for. It's my way of paying respect to Mr. Hughes.

I watched Lost Boys on TV last night. Baranard plays the grandpa in the movie, which I forgot about. He was really great in the lost boys. So loose, natural and funny. Great comedic timing.

From what I gather, that was his spirit.... Like the Grand-pa that we always wanted to meet... Wise, but also good hearted...
