Let's both hope that it's just before our birthdays Lurkinghorror. Still would be nice to see it out already over here. I cannot wait to see it. Oh one quick question if that is okay by you lurking horror. Is tron comic done freestyle on pad, pen and inks or is Tron all done electronically on the computer with photoshop or one of the many other myriads od drawing programs out there that can be purchased at the computer store like for Macs or PC based computers. I have always wondered. I have heard that some are done the old natural way before they get scanned into the computer and shipped of to where ever it has to go. And others do it all electronically. I think I may have seen it on a program somewhere on certain comics they do it all electronically and on others its all done by pen and pad.
lurkinghorror Wrote:Yup. The sales figures. As in the initial orders. Though those numbers will be hurt if the book is too late.
28th? Mine is September 1st . I hope to have it by then myself. |

I think the pencils are done by hand, and the finishing line work and colors are done on computer. However, I don't really know. The pencils might be on computer as well. I don't really see any of the work being done. I've actually never met Louie in person, as he lives hundreds and hundreds of miles from me. He sends in thumbnails, then the finishing artwork, all via email.
Eric, the cowriter on the book, is also an artist. All of our non-Tron related work is drawn by him. He does all his pencils and inks on paper, and then we have a colorist that does that stage digitally. However, Eric has been looking at the Wacom Cintiq drawing pads as a method to going al digital. if the price would just come down a bit more...abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Thats cool though. Its like what I had larned when I was learning with computer way back when compared to todays young programmers. The similarities for drawing comic and the older generation of programmers had donewhe they programmed tighty on their codes. So I can relate there on that part. For me anyways whether tron is done on the computer r the old fashioned way with penciled, pened and padded it is a fantastic comic book.
Even though I have a wacom type that I have over here that I still haven't installed yet on my computer here. I hear ya as well too. I had gottenmine free over here. But its the older serial ones over here which is still cool to use. Hmm I wonder if I culd hook this up to my SGI O@ over here. Just need a gender changer converter over here for it. It just might do the trick.

I think the book (issue 2) shipped to the printer on the 15th. I know all the art is done and all the lettering. Last week they should have been putting together the whole thing for printing. However, I haven't heard for certain. I'll know more on Monday.
That said, the pencils and inks for issue three are already half complete. So that issue will be more on schedule (and I'm working on the script for issue 5). Anyway, sorry for the long wait.

No curse as of yet. The reasons for this issue being delayed have been ironed out, and the line art for the third issue is already complete. Production wise, we're starting to get ahead of schedule. A nice feeling after this horrible and unforeseen gap between issue one and two. The downside about the delays with issue two is how it affects sales. We're being forced to resolicit by the main distributor, which is why the comic has been pushed from October to November.
