Oh wow.... So close.... I live in Marion... My sister lives in Opdyke, just a little bit outside of Mt. Vernon.

I remember you once said that you once lived in Illinois... I never knew it was so close...

Do you have any family in Mt. Vernon?

I live in a big small town (it's big as small towns go) in Lincolnshire, in the East Midlands (I suppose that's the best place to categorise it under). I doubt there's anyone on the Sector who lives anywhere near me, but that doesn't matter. TRON-Sector's the next best thing, yeah?

And if we can't see each other, there's always emotes... *Waves and other stuff like that*

If you visit me, it's like a TRON Museum in my house. Plan for a whole day if you really want to geek out.

The Golf Cart won't fit in the halls, so I use one of those little Bobcat Scooters they advertise on TV.

Here is another reason as to why I love this site and the people here...

Compucore:

I met him here long ago and from time to time we kick back and talk about what is going on in our lives, Arcade stuff, and just enjoying good conversation. I sent him a DVD of pinball and Arcade video game projects my brother and I did and he mailed me back (postal mail) just to comment on the DVD and to say hi. Really cool. In our busy lives we don't get the chance to talk as so often, but a really awesome friend he has become.

The Reel Todd:

He did this really cool retro style of Max Headroom vid (which we all saw) with his talent and the power of video apps (which he won't tell me what he uses... jerk.... just kidding) and its really good. Knowing Todd from the sector and also having some good-old-fasion "Yar's Revenge" tournament action, talking about the good old 80's, and just being cool made it an even more enjoyable site to see. Another awesome friend I always look forward to reading his posts and as friendly as anyone can get.

DaveTron:

Talk about a guy with elite connections. Talk about a guy with a resume that would blow your mind. This is a man who pops up and offers me goodies when he doesn't really have to, but I'm always excited when he does. Dave sort of has the big brother (not a 1984 metaphor) way about him that makes us feel that he's looking out for us... or at least... always there to give a helping and kind hand to connecting us to our dreams of the Tron universe and anything else he feels that he can relate to us with. Thanks for being such an awesome friend, big bro.

MutoidMan:

It's interesting how I met the guy on the sector. It started out of me blabbing something about processor model numbers and it turned into a heated conversation. I thought I knew what I was talking about but he corrected me. Again, the same thing happend with copyrighted roms for emulation. I thought, will this jerk ever leave me alone? But instead, I really learned a lot from this guy about how to post and really came to like him. Me, MutoidMan and DaveTron spent some personal moments about "I-76". Me, MutoidMan, and Todd did our "Yar's Revenge" challenge and I loved ever min. of it. Plus we are so Pro PC gamers above consoles so it even extends the friendship. Another awesome friend.

Kia:

Awww... We all love this babetron. A good heart in this intelligent lady has been with us from as far back as I can remember. She is my Commodore 64 buddy and if there is a time she talks about a C64 game, I listen. You should check out her site sometime. Really good work. We love you Kia... Thanks for being an awesome friend.

Sketch:

If I was to pay a lot of money for art, it would be from Sketch. If I was to ask advice on something related, I'd ask Sketch. He's the man. He taught me how to cell shade photos and presented all of us some the the most awesome work I have ever seen. Sketch is the man. A lot of the Icons we use are made by Sketch... because... Sketch is the man. A really awesome friend with a really awesome talent. Friendly and helpful makes Sketch the man.... Hey Sketch... Did I ever get the chance to let you know that you are the man?

I have so much more I want to express about everyone that I met here, but I'm running out of time for the moment. I love you all... Don't think I'm picking favorets... You all know me better than that...

Thank you for the kind words.

Keep in mind however that like every big brother I occasionally pick on my younger siblings. I feel bad about it later, really, I do.

Thanks. I feel I've still a ways to go as an artist, but I strive to do my best and learn as much as I possibly can. Just hope my art takes me somewhere. I've tried to contribute to the site in a way I can, specialy in helping make the forums as fun and communicative as possible with the digicons and premade avatars. This forum has proven to be a vital part of the community. It's strenght has been in the great personalities that come here, and as nice an envrionment that we have here I felt the community deserved these little bits that add life and an identity to the forum. I still want to exand the digicons some more eventually.

I can tell you one thing, if I was with the group at a table, I would be the one drawing on the napkins and tablecloth. I actually do that at resturants at times. It's fun!

Yo Qix77 ~ Thanks for spreading the Tron-Sector love around. 'Twas a nice thread to start.

I'm in Southern Illinois (close to the border of KY and MO).
if I ever make it as far as LA someday, I'll go see Dave... I just hope that LA isn't hit by a major earth quake while I'm there... or attacked by aliens on independents day... or turn into a volcano.... or I'll have to escape from LA like Snake Plisken... lol.....
I'd much rather take my risk of getting hit with a major earthquake in LA once every 30 years than to fear tornadoes ripping through my town in Illinois several times a year I... hate... (the thought of experiencing)... tornadoes! order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Believe it or not, it's really our fav. pass time.... To prove our un-intelligence, when a Tornado has been spoted in our town, everyone in my nieghborhood is out in the middle of the street looking up to see if we can see it... lol... The sad part is that it's true. It's what we call, "Gods, theature". lol...

However, my town hasn't been hit hard since 1982. We've had a few since then, but nothing really major to talk about.

I am in love with our local storms. Spring is when we are hit the most, but it's pretty quite durning the summer, fall, and winter... well... mostly...

Aww - thanks, man!

Video app. I don't tell because it really doesn't work well. I spent MUCH MORE time fighting the application and it's damn limitations (even when it is SUPPOSED to be able to do what I'm doing with it) than I do actually making things. I don't tell because I don't want to give people the FALSE impression that the video app. can do all the things that I do with it. Because it cannot. I always have to find work-arounds and labor intensive solutions to make my stuff look any good. I don't want that app. to get any credit, nor the company that makes it. But it is all I have to work with, so I do what I must. Trust me - you don't want this thing. It is an expensive, over-priced, poorly engineered, crash-prone, app. that makes me swear a LOT.

Yars' Revenge. What can I say - that game ROCKS! Haven't had much time to play it lately though. I probably suck at it again. But I don't care. It's always a blast to play!

Max Headroom thing. I think I'll call my 8-bit alter ego and Max Headroom parody... "Weed". Yeah - Weed. Why not? Or perhaps Mr. Killer... WEED Killer. 008-bit Glad you enjoyed that.

** raises drink **

Again - here's to you and The Sector

Your a cool guy too there Qix77. In the DvD there with your Brother I did learn a lot about capping a machine there too. There is a lot to learn in machines like those. I always find it interesting. Its like what Forest Gump used to say." Life is like a box of Chocolate. You'll never know what you'll find inside." Sounding like Robin Williams. from aladin. Group folks. Come on group hugs.
