once again, thanks for all the great feedback, I am having alot of fun here.
TheReelTodd, yes please, It would be super cool if you add this to the image gallery. I have posted a set of smaller images at:
http://www.a1eddie.com/tron-comic.htm
I also have a old school black & white version, that prints out quite nice as a A5 booklet. I will post this up as soon as I enhance the text a little.

As I stated at the start of this post, my writting skills are pretty minimal at best, but I have just made a few improvments (hopefully) to the start. I should have taken a bit longer with the text, but I am travelling alot at the moment so I don't always have a good internet connection. So I thought post it and make improvements as and when. Hopefuly the images tell the story anyway.

Excellent work! Seriously! I too find Clu's capture a little premature for 'the best program that's ever been written', and although a longer Clu sequence might not have sat so well in the movie, it works perfectly in your comic.
The art was fantastic, and (from what I can tell) was absolutely spot-on. I like how you never see such things as Sark's face, and the interior tank scenes look pretty much as if they were a live action set straight from the movie.
My one and only criticism is about the textures on the characters and tanks - the character textures look a little bit irregular, and the screen grab textures inside the tank do look a little out of place. But other than that, I think you did an absolutely amazing job and I really cannot wait for the second episode. Both you and lurkinghorror have gotten me unnecessarily excited over comics.
Once again, fantastic work. Don't mind me while I go through again and marvel at the artwork.

I have posted the black and white version on my site. I
have also made some changes to the text, so it hopefuly reads a bit more fluidly and has a bit more of the Tron story included.
the cover is still in colour but all the other pages have been enhanced to print out clearer. I recommend printing it as a A5 booklet. That is if anyone wants to print it

NoExcuses: thanks for the feedback, I am continuing to improve the textures for the characters, and hope to sort this out in part two.

I converted the images to Acrobat (PDF) format to make it easier for people to download. Just one file to download, with all pages together. The down side is that the file size explodes to 21MB. Perhaps I can reduce that in the future - I'll have to experiment a little with the compression settings in Acrobat. I don't want to sacrifice the image quality though.
It is located in the file archives here:

Again - very nice work, ed keefe

Ok, I generated a much smaller (file size) version of the comic. I had to use JPEG compression, so there is some image quality loss (in the form of JPEG artifacts), but it's not too severe. It's another option for those with slower internet connections. The new file (which is less than 5MB) is located in the same file archive category linked above. BOTH versions are available for download.
Download and enjoy, folks! And post your opinions/reviews here!

Holy crap. This is the best comic I've ever seen featuring clu ever. Your brain must have been in hyper mode when you did this, even if it's not saying much. If this was a real comic book, I'd have a copy already.

TheReelTodd:
thanks, that is very cool of you to do the PDF thing, I have also made a couple of changes to my site to make it a little easier to see.
This is the colour version. click on each image to see the full page:
http://www.a1eddie.com/tron-comic-col.htm
or the black and white version, with 'better' text/story and a page index at the top.
http://www.a1eddie.com/tron-comic-bw.htm
thanks to everyone else I will get the second part out as soon as I can. (in part two, Dillinger is doing time, Flynn is back at ENCOM and Tron is kicking ass all over the system). |

Pretty damn cool.
My only suggestion is that I would think that Clu's Identity Disc would be yellow, not blue.
